Great Service, Stunning Food. Absolutely no complaints.

Our family of 4 were just looking around Towcester for a good restaurant and I guess we found what we were looking for. We had Kamile as a waiter and she was amazing; always checking up on us to see if the food was good, very patient and helpful and made the experience just that much better. We ordered the mixed grill (very juicy meat), halep chicken (very filling with succulent meat), prawn guvec (amazing potatoes and tasty prawns, and the olive tree special (lovely well prepared meat, a lot for the money). Overall very very high quality meals with great service with quick food delivery. Excellent Job to Kamile and the chefs.

Easily the best food in Towcester

Visited spontaneously and am definitely pleased we chose here. Maria was our waitress and she was very attentive, offering to answer any questions we had about the menu, and the service was quick, but she also gave us plenty space to enjoy our catch up meal. The food was cooked perfectly and would definitely recommend - great value for money.

It takes great food, a great team and a great atmosphere to make a restaurant great....the Olive tree consistently delivers on all three. It’s a tough time in the UK for many restaurants, especially chains, mainly caused by their lack of ability or desire to adapt, personalise or reflect the needs of local customers, the team at the Olive Tree always seem to care about what customers think, not because they want a great Trip Advisor review, l have never been asked to leave a review and that’s why l feel compelled to do so now. If you love fresh, authentic Turkish food made by a chef that loves what he does ( the salads are beautifully presented, could even be framed and hung on the wall😃) and a service that is always personal and warm, then visit the Olive Tree in Towcester.

Great food, ambience, and service!

Friends recommended Olive Tree Towcester as an option for 'nice anniversary lunch while the kids are in school'. Great choice. We were greeted with complimentary champagne and made to feel special. Amazing food, freshly prepared, authentic flavours. Sensible approach to government guidelines, didn't spoil our experience. Well done We're planning next visit.

Decent food but where's the social distancing?

Have visited a few times in the past but only my second trip out post lockdown for a meal. Food was great as always and whilst the service was a little slow, they were really busy with most tables filled and it didn't disrupt the evening. What was offputting was the lack of a social-distanced table setting. Chairs backed onto each other, no screens of any kind or anyone wearing a masks. Basically it looked to be virtually the same table set up that they had pre-lockdown. The only difference was a hand sanitiser bottle on the wall (which I only spotted on the way out) and being asked to share a menu to view from. Will obviously return (as the food is very good) but probably not to dine in whilst under COVID rules. Collected a takeaway from them back in June (when they were closed to dine-in) and they were taking precautions then so not understanding appearing to pretty much ignore them now.

A great start to the New Year

We were very happy to find the Olive Tree in Towcester was open on New Year's Day. Denisa & Yilmaz were very welcoming, friendly and attentive, giving helpful advice on dishes etc. All guests tried new dishes and found all the food freshly cooked and delicious. We had a great relaxed family meal to start 2020 and the prices were very reasonable, as always! Thank you very much to the Olive Tree Team in Towcester and see you again soon!

First visit, wow!!!

Six of us, including grandchildren 9 and 11, were here to celebrate grandpa's birthday. It took us ages to decide what to eat as the choice was superb! We had a sharing mezze and prawns as a starter which we enjoyed with the complimentary bread and dips. As a main course we chose guvec chicken, mixed grill and chicken wings. The food just melted in our mouths, piping hot and beautifully presented. What little bit we couldn't eat grandpa brought home and had it for lunch the next day! Grandson was the only one who could squeeze in a pudding and he chose chocolate pud with ice cream. We finished with an excellent cup of coffee. A superb evening, excellent company and efficient service.

Caution

Hubby and I had a superb meal here last week, loved the complimentary bread etc, our main course was lovely, very tasty and well cooked. Drinks were rather expensive.....but the major problem was.... NO Covid precautions. No hand wash on entering ( I had my own in my bag), no face masks on any staff members, waitresses or chefs, menus were plastic coated and handed from customer to customer, and my menu had some dried food on it. We antibac’ed with our own gel three times during the evening. Such a shame as the food was fab but we wouldn’t eat here again atm because of the Covid situation.

Try a Take Away

Tried a take away for two the other day. Ordered it at 2.15 and picked it up at from the restaurant at 3.45. Two main course perfectly hot complete with the well liked starter bread and accompanying two dips. This was additional to what we expected and the bread was warm and the dips nice and spicy. The two meals, Lamb Guvec and Beyti Sarma were both excellent. The Govec came with a separate rice portion and the Sarma with a green salad. Both meals were in fact much as we would have expected from the restaurant if we had eaten on the premises so were pleasantly surprised that all the normal trimmings were there as a take away. Finally, we were both pleased to see the dishes were Turkish to taste and had not been "anglicised" Thank you

Fantastic set meal for two

Lovely setting (with appropriate cov19 precautions) , food was fantastic (like we had read about) with the t person set meal giving you a tasty of a variety of their dishes. Even the free warm breads and sips you get were lovely and soft & tasty. Mezze platter was a good selection of dishes & well presented on the plate. Main course platter tasted lovely with the lamb and chicken all cooked well (& succulent) along with a salad dish to compliment it. The drinks were fairly priced and the service from Christina was great (not rushed & just at the right level to give you time between courses). see the attached pictures for further evidence, we will certainly be back! Thanks Olive Tree.

Best restaurant in towcester👌

I came in here with my family to have dinner, we had a mixed of starters, all served lovely fresh and hot. Maria chose for us dishes that had melt in the mouth flavours and an incredible taste. Chef Serdar come to check how was our food and the lovely Shamma done for us amazing drinks. To finish we received complimentary baklava and Turkish tea which was a delight.!!! We definitely recommend this restaurant for family dinner and we will be back again soon!!! :)

Excellent food, excellent service and very strict adherence to the Covid rules

This was the first time we have had a meal here, having been greatly encouraged by the excellent reviews. The food was first class, offering exceptional choice and wonderful flavours from all the dishes we tried. The mixed hot mezze was a great choice which meant we were able to sample many of the different foods. I can also recommend the moussaka and emperor’s chicken. We couldn’t fault the excellent service provided by Shamma and Jordan and I’m pleased to be able to comment that hand sanitiser was provided and all staff wore masks whilst working hard to keep a sensible distance from all customers. They have clearly responded positively to the couple of previous comments on this matter. We will most definitely be back and plan to also utilise the takeaway service. Two very happy customers!

We had been told to go and have a mea in this restaurant last night. We placed our order .my colleagues starter came 10 min after ours .Then the main meals came the one I ordered was wrong the waitress said they were short staffed. Would I still eat it I ordered Lamd and chicken came I said no she said we dont have any lamb left and thought chicken would be ok .we did not even get an apology. I would not recommend this restaurant unless they pick what you have to have .

Friendly service and very good lunch

We went there for a lunch. Our waitress Alina, was very good and attentive. They brought some Turkish fresh bread with two sauces and Olives on the house. They were lovely. We both had a vegetarian moussaka which came with some rice and salad. All very tasty, very well presented and very filling. As The restaurant is quite big, it offered us plenty of social distancing so we felt very comfortable and safe there.
