We’ve just had a venison pie with roast veg & chips, and a sausage & bacon pie with Brie mash & peas.

I have to admit , I rarely opt for a pie on any menu but if anybody could deliver a good pie it would be Ed and his Chef . I opted for the chicken and haggis pie with the garlic liquor and chips ....More
The food was superb. Probably the best Pie we had ever had!

Third time and pies and service were excellent again. Covid precautions are very well implemented and gently but firmly enforced.

Although we are in difficult times, the staff were very friendly and Ed took time to speak to us at our table. The food was delicious, the pies have to some of the best I’ve tasted. We all left stuffed and happy

Although The Plough is small, unless we have a particularly busy night in regards to bookings in the restaurant then we always keep 4 or 5 tables clear for drinkers. This is in an area where there is only background music playing quietly in order to ensure that people are able to chat amongst themselves without needing to shout!
