We love this cosy little restaurant. The food is consistently good, and there is a nice choice of wines or locally brewed beers. You're always sure of a warm welcome too.

We were a party of 6 celebrating 2 recent Birthdays. Some of us had starters which were all very nice and quite large portions. We all chose to have the Sunday Roast which was very nice indeed. All cooked perfectly and again very plentiful. The...Staff were all very friendly and professional. We spent a very nice few hours in very comfortable surroundings. Thankyou, we will be back soon !More

6 of us ate here at the weekend, celebrating my wife's 70th birthday. Although very busy, we were warmly welcomed and quickly seated and had our orders taken. Starters of scallops for 2 of us and goats cheese for 1 were very good. Mains were...the star attraction though - chicken supreme, confit duck leg, calf's liver and a steak & mushroom pie all really well seasoned and cooked. Only 2 of us had room for puds, sticky toffee pudding well up to standard, but just slightly disappointed by the gingerbread creme brullee which had a good taste but the texture was a bit watery for my liking. With wine and a tip, the meal came to about £40 a head which we thought really good value.More
Hi Chris, and thank you so much for your lovely review. Great to hear that the food exceeded your expectations. I'm happy to say too that we have improved the recipe for the creme brulee which is now creamy and unctious as it should be!...More
Good food, well cooked, presented and served very well. We could not fault anything, there is clearly alot of thought in each dish.

Hi Sallie and thank you once again for your excellent review. We very much look forward to seeing you on New Year's Eve. Very best wishes, Robert & team Folly
We visited on a Friday night and were impressed with both the quality and presentation of food and the varied and interesting menu. Definitely a smart restaurant feel (rather than pub food) with the crisp white tablecloth and place settings. Overall maybe a 4 rating...is more appropriate than 5 as being told we would be charged £140 if we don't turn up, or don't give 24 hours notice of cancellation, didn't feel very welcoming. Don't disagree with the principle, but the amount seems excessive! They tried to do dairy free for one guest but it was not successful & she found her food was very bland. They only had alcohol free gin and larger. No mocktails to make it a bit special. They came up trumps with the vegan chocolate tart though. Lovely atmosphere, attentive waiter but a long wait at times.More
Hello and thank you very much indeed for your great feedback. I am pleased that overall you were impressed with the experience. £20 cancellation charge excessive? That's around half of the average dinner spend so even in the RARE case of it being applied, we...More

Thank you so much Steve for your stunning review. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit. Best wishes, Robert & team Folly
We were down to visit Silverstone and my partner booked dinner here for the two of us and our 9month old baby. Really nicely decorated, a warm welcome and all the food was delicious (I’m a veggie and it was all really tasty) we had...starters and mains and would have been tempted for dessert but we wanted to get going as our baby was getting a bit fussy. The staff were all super lovely and really accommodating, and really nice with our baby as well. Would def recommend and would go back if we’re ever in the area again.More
This is a little gem. Friendly staff, excellent food, and locally brewed beer. Dining area is small, so booking ahead is recommended. We keep coming back.......
Hello Sandie and thank you once again for posting another lovely review. We very much look forward to seeing you both again soon. Very best wishes, Robert & team Folly
We called in on spec last Sunday not expecting to be able to eat but happy to have a drink in the bar - which we did - with our little dog. Delicious Shiraz! Very impressed with the smartness and friendliness, of the staff. We...were then asked if we would like the roast as there were some to spare. We had the beef and the pork, both absolutely delicious. We will be back!More

Came in for Sunday roast today, the food was absolutely delicious, one of the best roast beef dinners I have ever eaten, my husband had the pork and said it was amazing too. It’s a real shame the abysmal service let it down. We had...to wait 50mins for our mains (which were pre ordered as the guy phoned to ask), I had to ask where they were, no apology, no offer of another drink, no one asked if our meal was OK. Absolutely terrible service, one of the worst I have ever received. The Chef creates outstanding food, but the service gave me a sour taste!!!More
