Four of us had lunch after cycling through the Southern Vales. Lovely sandstone dining area with views across the vines Aircon excellent on v hot day Each of us had 2 course "tasting " lunch with small serves of vineyard wines to match Inman valley chicken delicious as was the salmon sashimi entree. we came for lunch here as it had been highly recommended by some other friends and was not disappointed. The "feed me" menu was incredible and delicious, with cured trout an artistic lamb dish with a smoked beetroot puree. we also had matching wines throughout, my favourites was the old vineyard Grenache and "wheres molly" rose. one of the most... If you are going for lunch or dinner to a winery in McLaren, this is one to places to be seriously considered. The tasting menu is surprising with every dish. The fish (corona mulloway) was very well cooked, as it was the lamb. Having the option of matching wines enhances the experience. I want to highlight the Four Roads Old... More

I'm told the chef is quite new. And wow- he sure is a credit to this place. We did a small degustation, which turned out to be incredibly plentiful and we were suitably wowed by every dish. The wine pairing was perfect and we loved every minute. The mushrooms are all grown onsite. Make sure you have some. This was... More

We stopped in on Boxing Day, without a reservation and with our small dog. The staff where very accommodating and found us a great table on the deck. We had the three courses with matching wines. A great way to try some wine that you would not necessarily taste....will visit again, highly recommended.

The setting and views were beautiful but we felt the food was hit and miss. We had three courses and enjoyed most. The entree's and mains were lovely but the Olive oil ice cream was a bit of a miss. The service was great. Do visit the cellar door and try the spiced mead.

Summary: Want a great meal in a relaxed setting. Try the "feed us" menu and sit back and let the kitchen do the rest. Highlights: The reds were pretty good, the range of dishes (we got 9 big and small) were fantastic, and the setting is very relaxing. Misses: the white wines didn't do it for me, but that's usual.

My husband scored an array of brownie points for this one! He organised for us and 46 friends to celebrate my "special" birthday with lunch on Maxwell's balcony, complete with bus transport to and from our home. Gorgeous views, superb wine and service but most of all, amazing food! We had the Tasting Menu; mushroom risotto entree... YUM; kingfish followed... More

Thankyou for a memorable lunch ! The six course tasting menu matched with wine was an ideal format to discover sublime kingfish, amazing mulloway, succulent mushrooms grown in the Lime Cave, meltish lamb, and surprising chicken with corn variation. (We never order chicken so this was a bit of a revelation !) Portion sizes were perfect for ladies so we... More
