Stopped in unexpectedly on a Sunday around lunch time while out and about and was pleased to see they were still serving the breakfast menu. I opted for the smashed avocado & hubby went the egg & bacon roll, both were nice not overly generous. Was really busy with friendly staff would go again after seeing the pizza's & burger... More

Big Breakfast was delicious ..... food tasted fresh and well presented. As a local we love having special occasions at Cockles. Overall menu is very good.

My wife and her friend visited today. The service and quality was not up to the usual standard that we have enjoyed on previous visits. One of them had a scone with jam and cream. The jam was so runny that it would have run off the scone. They were told that it was the student chef's own product and... More

We've been in the area a very short time and try and sit down for a coffee most days. Actually all of the cafes here are pretty good but we seem to end up here more oftern. I think it is the position in the high street and a lovely outside terrace to sit on to watch the world go... More

Been going here for years, as food generally very good, service and staff can be a bit up and down. The food variety for breakfast and lunch is excellent, we love the breakfast menu. Can be very crowded during holiday time, so advisable to book.

Had lunch at Cockles Cafe. Ordered the Nasi Goreng which was pleasant although not that authentic. Quick Service. Noisy cafe inside but outside is quieter. I have also ordered a takeaway Spring Chicken Pizza from Cockles which was delicious.

Boring menu with limited options, asked to remove eggs from toast and replace them with spinach, mushrooms and a hash brown. this would have cost us $50 with a 300ml coke and an orange juice. The profit margin must be insane considering I can buy the ingredients myself for less than $5. Don't bother especially if you're vegetarian

Nothing special with regards to decor but when it comes to breakfast it was simply delicious. I had the lean and green and it was a flavour explosion in my mouth. It was so good we went there two days in a row. If I would be a local I would be a regular.

We went here on the Public Holiday, it was very busy but we did manage to get a table. We had 2x breakfast 1x kids pancake & 2x coffee, thought nearly $60 was very over priced. The food was yummy but expensive! Also on top of that we were charged 15% surcharge for a public holiday.. yikes

The unenthusiastic staff gave incorrect description of food and forgot two of our orders. Would not even bring water to our table, told to grab it from bar...after we had each ordered a big breakfast for $23!
