Excellent spot to enjoy some amazing German cuisine. Schmidt’s has been around for a very long time for good reason. Their brats are amazing, the buffet is well done, and everything we’ve ever had here has been very very good. Always a crowd here, it...More

My son recently moved to Columbus, Ohio. We traveled up to visit him and he shared he wanted to eat at the German Village. So we made reservations ( a must ‘to do’ as long as their line was) to Schmidt’s to try it out....More

This was my first time at Schmidt's and I will definitely be back the next time we are here. My friends go every time, they like to do the buffet so as to experience as many different items as possible..

We tour spots around columbus for lunch each month. This was on our list as mant of us hadn’t been in years. Just as much fun as we remembered and the food was just as yummy. The buffet is a good option to try many...More

I’m writing this is perspective for a tourist or someone who’s never been here hearing all the hype or great ratings. Starting with this is not real German food. It would be like saying Taco Bell is real Mexican food. It’s just Americanized German food...More

This is a place you have to try....just for the experience. The food is good, not great, but pretty good. But its the ambiance of the place that makes it. Go with some good friends and have a GREAT time!

Recommend if you can’t make up which sausages to have. This is probably the only German restaurant that I've been in the northeast states with buffet with their sausages and red cabbage and potato soup and salads. $15 per person. Reasonable as each entree cost...More

I have only been there during the week. Both times I was there, I know the buffet opened at 11:00 am. Not sure when it ends. Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer.

This iconic German Village restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate with family and friends. For five generations we have been serving authentic German food. Our sausage has become so famous that the Bahama Mama has been voted the official food of Columbus and the building is registered as a historic landmark. Come take a trip around our Autobahn Buffet or, if you want something other than sausage, try one of our traditional German dinners. Of course, for dessert, you can have one of our half-pound jumbo cream puffs. Stop in today and celebrate with us!
