We enjoyed some excellent pepper steak made from reindeer and a delicious moose burger. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was attentive and friendly. Portions were generous. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual. We would return next time we are in this part of the world.

Nice diner, lovely decorated but no waw factor. Staff did their job but not with a smile... We had a burger and a pizza, which was tasty and paid approximately 60€ for our food and 2 beers. Coffee after was free.

We spend our last evening at Kroa, having a crispy pizza and tasty salmon. The atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy, the service good and the prices reasonable. Book your table in advance to make sure you get seated.

The food was just great and the service. But it was a little ta fast service and stressy. We would have liked to sit and relax between the course a little bit more.

We had whale both as starter and maindish. The starter was excellent. Whale has a bit of liver taste, we knew that, it matches excellent with the parsnip puré, but the redwinesauce is a bit odd and strengthen the liver taste. Dessert crème brulé with liqourice and raspberry sorbet was very good. We reseved table the same day, every serving... More

Decorated in driftwood and photographs portraying Svalbard's history of hunting and coal mining. Really popular with locals as well as visitors. Kroa is really atmospheric and famous for using seasonal ingredients. We sampled Smoked Mindy Whale with loganberry syrup and sour cream- not many places where you would see this on menu! All the meals we had here we're really... More

Had an ok meal with The family at Kroa. Tried The moose burger that had great sweet potatoes, but The meat was too dry and too compact to my taste. Good service

I ate here several times with my mother and brother while staying in Longyearbyen. Both the lunch and dinner menus are excellent and the food did not disappoint. Beautifully cooked and presented and a reasonable price for the area. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service is quick but not hurried. Popular with the locals so booking is... More
