We visited this pub as a last minute dinner choice, just before the close of service. The staff managed to seat us and get food out to us very efficiently. The salmon starter came as a generous portion and the mains were delicious. We would highly recommend!

Lovely home made food served here, staff friendly, reasonable price. This is one of our favourites. Well worth a visit.

Five of us, 3 adults and 2 kids enjoyed Sunday lunch here. A mix of beef and chicken roasts, all very well cooked with the usual roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. There was a good selection of veg with a bowl of cauliflower cheese. The veg was perfectly cooked, nice and fresh and firm. Most had pudding, a choice of... More

Quite a nice friendly village pub, with reasonably well kept real ale, thought the beer was a little to warm as if it had been sitting in the line. Ordered a steak and mushroom pie, now this was unlike any other pie I have seen. Basically it was a thin and very hard pastry shell filled with steak, mushrooms and... More

Revisited the George and Dragon with my husband, last experience was disappointing however this time around was better! Food was nice but slightly average, desserts were the best part. Would probably re visit again...

Recently re-visited the George & Dragon to sample the Steak night, which is available every Thursday. The rib-eye steak was cooked to perfection, and coupled with the excellent service from the staff, certainly a lovely place to recommend to friends and family.

We are staying at the redworth hall hotel and was recommended the George and dragon so we went and ordered our food and the starter came. We choose chicken skewers, while eating them, and to be fair they were tasty, I noticed a bone in my mouth and thought wow a chicken bone, I took the bone out of my... More

On a two week business trip and couldn't get enough of this place. The locals were amazing. June took such wonderful care of us and the other staff were great! The food was reasonably priced, always piping hot and great pub fare. Dogs are more than welcome, they are regulars (Bernie and Vincent). I was truly sad to leave this... More

My husband and I had a meal there last night 6th December. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Enormous portions, hot and very tasty. I had the Baked Salmon and my husband had the Hunters Chicken. There was a good menu choice and I am sure all of the dishes would have been just as good as ours.... More
