Visited here on a Wednesday evening at 6pm, we did not book but luckily got a table as the pub was quite booked up. There was an excellent selection of local ales. Food there was a good selection including a variety of specials. Stater I had the bruschetta and wife had the soup. We were happy with these. Main course... More

We stay in BINHAM at least once a year and eat in several local restaurants. Both this year and last the Chequers came out as the most expensive meal! The food is pretty good although the desserts were straight from the freezer but the bill came to over £100 for 2 adults and three children. Elsewhere £80 is typical for... More

Second visit to this establishment and have to say excellent food and service. Very friendly and amenable to requirements; would highly recommend. I had beer battered cod which was real-not from the supermarket like some places we have been, followed by strawberry cheesecake home made. Partner had gammon with apple pie which appeared to be shop bought. Never the less,... More

Having a day out and went to Binham Priory.Had noticed the pub on the way. Gave it a go for lunch. Glad we did. Great service, lovely friendly people. Even the locals didn't bite. ( Typical English custom, the locals are the ones sitting on the bar stools at either ends of the bar!) Food was great. Both my wife... More

Nothing to complain about but food was nice but average. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

This is an excellent pub. The service is very friendly and efficient and the food consistently of a high standard. The proprietor made a point of apologising for the fact they had a backlog of orders and so there would be a slight delay which I was impressed with. Overall I'd recommend the lasagne and salad and scampi. I am... More

A lovely pub run by a lovely couple. They were able to cater for both gluten and lactose allergies - they have a separate fryer for chips and can offer gluten free bread with many of the dishes. Also offered to make up some gluten free batter for fish and chips. All round very knowledgeable about allergies. Food was delicious,... More

A proper pub, busy with Friday night drinkers and diners when we visited, serving good pub food (burgers, scampi, pies, and so on) with really nice staff and excellent service. What's not to like? I'd love a local like the Chequers - it was very busy and buzzy, so it seems it's a popular village pub. Definitely worth a visit... More
