Visited on Thursday just as lunch was finishing but made very welcome. The manager as always polite friendly and nothing no trouble. Looked very festive and there were Christmas crackers on our table. Food was freshly cooked and delicious can't wait for our next visit.

Stayed here for a few nights. Although slightly mobility impaired, I was not pleased with the stairs to the bedrooms. Being an old building the stairs were very steep, risers high and treads narrow. Without the help of my husband I would not have been able to climb them. When booking I enquired which floor the bedrooms were on and... More

Visited this establishment as it was close to our caravan site and it was dog friendly. The bar area is large and you can eat with your dog in this area. We did not sample the menu and we're also put off by the high prices for drinks. The noise and loud music from the event marquee was an issue... More

We visited the hotel for lunch on the 20th July. We haven't been there for over a year and was made to feel very welcome My husband ordered the steak pie veg and chips and I had vegetarian lasagne with salad and chips. We waited a while for the food but only because it was being cooked from fresh, and... More

Visited on a Saturday evening without pre booking. I had a couple of really nice kept Woodfordes ( a Norfolk brewery) and my wife enjoyed one of their many draught lagers.I ate their steak and kidney pie with boiled potatoes and vegetables and my wife enjoyed her chicken with bacon and blue Stilton. All in all very enjoyable though somewhat... More

Just back from a 2 night stay as part of a wedding party. I was highly impressed with the venue and the high level of attention to detail from the staff. The grounds were perfect for children to run around in and there is plenty of parking. Ian, the manager and his staff could not have done enough to ensure... More

We were staying on the caravan site opposite the hotel and thought it would be an ideal place to eat. What a mistake. The girl on the bar, who was also the waitress was absolutely lovely, helpful and polite if only everything else had gone as well as the start. The mushrooms on a crouton were nothing more than mushrooms... More

I visited for a carvery lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon with my partner and his parents. The setting is wonderful, if a bit out of the way. We sat in the bar area for a drink before going into the orangery for lunch, both areas were lovely. There are some nice sofas you can relax on which looked like... More

On 11 October 2015, my husband and I and four other friends visited the Scarborough Hill Country Inn at North Walsham. We all had the carvery meal. I was disappointed there were only two choices of meat available, turkey and beef and I would have liked the gravy to have been a little hotter. However, my husband and I really... More
