Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have always had excellent fish and chips dinner to takeaway from Three Cottages and decided to try eating in their restaurant for lunch. It didn't disappoint, we four all had different items and all four meals came together piping hot and cooked perfectly. Great...table service too. Thank you!More

We went here whilst on our family holiday and all I can say is 10/10. We sat in the restaurant, nothing was too much trouble. The people were very friendly and it had a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was...a boatin cup of tea too. We will be going back and would definitely recommend it.More

I had a difficult day. A long journey and no hotel room available. I needed cheering up and this chippie was recommended by an off duty Sainsbury's employee. The staff were super friendly and cheered me up immediately. The customers were also great. The place...was spotless. I ate really well including lovely chips and the biggest sausage possible. Recommend most highly.More

Just recently moved to the county and read the reviews about The Three Cottages and you could sit in too so we thought we will have to try this chip shop. Well my partner and I were not disappointed. The fish and chips were hot,...fresh and delicious 😋. Mmm … the batter was so light and crispy and the fish fresh and plentiful. My partner had XL plaice and I had haddock. Great portion size. You will not be disappointed. The service was great and our waitress was delightful. Looking forward to our next visit.More

Found on trip advisor. Very friendly. Outstanding quality. Very very tasty. Had bigger fish for the money but the quality was just lovely - pure white fish and lovely batter.

This was our first visit to the three cottages chippy, and I can easily say we'll be back. From the moment I walked in and got a friendly greeting, to the last chip crossing my lips, everything was just great. Staff were friendly, pleasant, well...presented. The premises was clean, tidy and well stocked. The food itself was hot, fresh and tasty; and was reasonably priced. Best chippy I've been to in the area by far.More

I can’t rate the staff Highly enough. First time I’ve ever been and mentioned my sister is gluten free. They went to action stations, Washed hands straight away, kept our food miles away from other fryers, utensils and other food. Not to mention they have...a large menu of gluten free items. And the food for us was safe and delicious.More

We were camping nearby, and as a coeliac I have to be super organised with eating out. I found this place and emailed 4 days ahead to check they could cater for me and pre-order. They replied saying they cannot take the order ahead of...time and to phone back on the day and they will take the order over the phone. I phoned 15 minutes after they opened and was told the gluten free slots had already gone and they could not offer me anything until 8:40. I nearly cried that not only would I have to eat crackers for my dinner, our entire group would not want their fish and chips either if I couldn’t join in. Thankfully after a few tears and a bit of Googling, I found Ken’s fish and chips in Wrexham. The lady ok the phone could not have been more accommodating and I got to eat gluten free fish and chips for dinner!More
