Out for a friends birthday and it’s fair to say I was throughly surprised by this little restaurant. Specialising in Turkish meats - the taste of the food was amazing. Very tasty on the tongue. Flavoursome and not bland at all, I found my dish hugely refreshing. I had the charcoal selection of flat bread, meats, rice and a salad, please see my picture. You can also see the sharing platter on the other. My friends really enjoyed the cold and hot Mezze starter beforehand. A majority of us enjoyed baklava as a dessert and you could tell this was homemade - this pleased me as I am a foodie. The wine list and Prosecco were enjoyed by a few. Right down to the Turkish coffee, it was extremely ornate, it wowed us all including the detail of homemade Turkish delight as a complementary offering. Lastly the staff were very cheery and accommodating - when one of my friends wanted chips and not rice, this was dealt with professionally and instantly. Nothing being too much. The main consensuses was we all had a wonderful night. Thanks Gents.

I visited this restaurant for the first time in 2020 (see my review); I’m now a regular visitor to Felixstowe and have had 3 visits to The Anatolia in the last 2 weeks! The first time was a family gathering of 7 to celebrate a teenage birthday and the other two occasions were 4 people. Everyone was exceptionally pleased with their food & the service. The staff are particularly friendly which, together with the high quality, good value food makes for a very pleasant dining experience. I know my family and friends will be regularly visiting The Anatolia in the future and I recommend anyone reading this to try it for themselves; I’m sure you’ll be pleased you did.

This restaurant is a lot nicer than the average. Food is great, crispy filo, lovely dips, tasty kebabs. The bread is really, really good. Bit of a wait for food to come but I think it was my fault for asking for it all to come at the same time. Staff are very polite and helpful. Covid measures were very appropriate without impacting on the enjoyment of eating there. Will be back.

We ordered the Anatolia Special takeaway for 2 at £34.95 and were really disappointed. The meal was advertised as Lamb Shish, Chicken Shish, Lamb Ribs, Lamb Chops, Adana Kofte, Chicken Wings. Served with rice, couscous and salad. When we got the takeaway home and opened the containers we found the Lamb & Chicken Shish consisted of 2 thumb nail sizes pieces of meat, 2 tiny ribs with barely any meat, 1 small dried up lamb chop, with a small strip of Adana Kofte and 2 chicken wings per person. The majority of the meal consisted of some sort of bread that was so dry and hard it was impossible to eat. The best part of the meal was the salad. We phoned to check that this was a meal for 2 at £34.95 and sent the photos attached and was told that the portions were correct. If we wanted to drive back with the untouched takeaway we could have a refund. Given that its a 15 minute one way drive to the restaurant and the temperature outside was minus 1 with icy roads we declined. They later came back with the offer to drive to us to refund the cost of the meal providing we returned all the food untouched. Given that I had already fed back to them that the food was dry, chewy it was pretty obvious that we had touched the food so the refund offer was not an option for us. We would not recommend this restaurant and will revert back to our usual takeaways and restaurants as Felixstowe and its surrounding villages have far better places.

Have been to this fantastic little gem of a restaurant so many times over the years and it's consistently delicious with brilliant service. Don't worry about Covid here as they are really on top of the sanitising and the tables are spaced so everyone has plenty of room. Tried the take-out during lockdown and it was just as good. You are greeted warmly at the door and the service is attentive but discreet and nothing is too much trouble. We've tried lots off the menu and everything is just scrumptious...and you won't be disappointed by the portion size either! Best to book as very popular!

In today's climate, social distancing and how it is implemented is a priority for me when I go to a restaurant. I have to say this was one of the best examples of how to do it right. We were met at the door and staff were wearing masks. They showed us to our table and it was spaced away from others and we were not on top of each other. All evening good service was given by the staff. The Menu was extensive and of great variety. There were 6 of us and we all had 3 courses and not one complaint about the food. Overall the Price, Service and Quality of food were excellent and hope to return very soon. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Went to Anatolia for lunch for first time & what a lovely surprise it was. The menu was such that anyone could find things they like. There were 3 of us & for starters we had whitebait, falafel & garlic mushrooms & for mains lamb shish, chicken shish & chicken princess. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food & the portions were very generous, so much so that we could not, unfortunately manage a desert🙂. Nevertheless I was keen to try the baklava so I purchased one to take home & it was very nice👍. The owner, who served us was extremely customer focussed, very polite & looked after us well. We are looking forward to returning to Felixstowe soon for another meal at this great restaurant.

We booked and visited for a lunch to celebrate my birthday. Our first visit to a Turkish restaurant (but by no means our last now!) We were welcomed and shown to a table - offered hand sanitiser and socially distanced from the other diners. The decor was attractive the staff attentive and helpful and understood allergies. The food was scrumptious and hot and freshly cooked. The seafood casserole was the star of the show with an amazing sauce and succulent seafood. We will return swiftly and offer sincere thanks to Anatolia

My wife & I went to The Anatolia today for lunch, our fifth visit in the last 12 months. I had white bait & my wife had mixed kebab. As usual we were given complimentary flat bread & tzatziki. As always everything was delicious & good value as well. We couldn’t manage dessert but they had just got a batch of their homemade baklava out of the oven so we ordered a portion and collected it on our way home to have with a cup of tea. Wow! It was fabulous & we’ll certainly take some more home next time we visit The Anatolia which hopefully, won’t be too long. If you like good food prepared & served by exceptionally nice people try The Anatolia, you won’t be disappointed.

So good to be eating in, again. We have enjoyed take outs in Lockdown....but....Brilliant Service, Fantastic range to suit meat lovers and vegetarians, generous portions. Meze for four generous enough to feed six. We had six different mains, all delicious. No room for dessert. The two complimentary starters an aubergine dip, and a lovely plate of olives were much appreciated as well. We have come as a foursome, and large family groups including one New Years Eve, we have never been disappointed. Thank you.

Slow service and noisy acoustics would have been acceptable if food and service were good. Service was very slow. Lamb kebab was tough and lamb stew was tasteless. To their credit we were not charged for mains, but will think twice about going again.

One of the most amazing go to places for us. This time it was my full family. It was so amazing as there prices are so affordable we had there sharing grill platters grilled meat for 6 people ( more than enough for 6 people)and it was amazing. They also had a great ranges of wines and beers. The turkish beer they have can’t find it anywhere else. It is just an amazing overall experience for my family. As always the service was excellent. My parents can’t wait to be back.

We came here a couple of Fridays ago as a group. The restaurant got busier throughout the evening but social distancing was maintained along with good service. There was sanitiser by the door and toilets and it was great to see the staff wearing masks. The food was lovely; the bread and dips with our entrees were a lovely touch. I can recommend the courgette and feta fritters and the Lamb iskander kebab was lovely and rich.

Amazing service from Phillis and the team. Booked at short notice and on a whim as in the area for business. Customer service was excellent and the food was amazing (mixed kebab) I have already recommended this little gem to colleagues and will define visiting it again next time I’m in Felixstowe. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience.

First time in restaurant as normally we drive from Rothwell to Bermondsey Square London for our Turkish treats. Not anymore! We had a day at the sea side and wisely chose to have a big nosh up at lunchtime then hit the beach. Wise choice. We had the restaurant to ourselves. Service was fantastic by family team whose attention to detail was impeccable. Everything was fresh home cooked on the day and you could really tell. All the good work blew the Turkish experience out of the ball park and the bill was very reasonable indeed. My new favourite kebab house. Well done guys we will be back soon.
