I have reviewed this pub before some considerable time ago and didn't have a good experience, however second chances should always be given and on the first fine day of the year, the pub looked like the perfect choice. I am glad that we did visit for lunch, it is a cracking old boozer with a good range of local... More

Truly a Lovely 1400th century traditional English Pub with a fine choice of Ale on tap with Guest beers being offered. The ambiance is very inviting with seating inside and outside. There are table available for big groups as well. The kitchen offers a fine selection of great traditional and selected cuisine. I highly recommend this pub for a dinner... More

Good food here, typical pub menu. Nice old fashioned surroundings feels very cosy. Decent beer that's well looked after. Went here with my family on a Saturday night and would have liked to hang around after our dinner for a few drinks but waitresses were going around blowing out candles and generally indicating that it was time for us to... According to friends who visit regularly this pub is dog friendly. Well our dogs were too wet apparently (surprisingly after a long walk in snowy rain). Health and safety. We were very disappointed. Needed a warming up and drink. Can I suggest towels or some rugs. They were not muddy. No warmth from barmaid either telling us this.

In these days of identical chain pubs The Ferry Boat has a truly authentic Local feel to it and was very busy even on a damp and chilly February weekend. The clientele is a nice mix of visitors, locals and walkers, and it was nice to see that dogs are clearly welcome. Be aware that last orders for Sunday lunch... More

This ancient pub by Felixstowe ferry ticks all the boxes for great pub food and ambience. The menu is good with a blackboard of specials, where fish dominates. I has a grilled whole mackerel with a colourful and tasty salad. The grilled plaice was of good size and another of our party tucked into fresh cod and huge chips with real... More
