We had our Christmas do at the pier. It included arcade fun! Food was excellent. Wine a bit pricey, but that's the norm these days! Service was fab, our waiter was an excellent sport. I would absolutely rebook! Thanks!

My wife and I love the Boardwalk. It's always compulsory for us to have a coffee here after we've parked up in the main car park and before we head off into Southwold Town centre. We also quite regularly return here for lunch - a greatly varied menu that includes, according to one of our friends, the best curry she's... More

Lovely location on pier overlooking beach but don't they charge you for that! Wine c£4 for 125ml glass or more than £10 for a carafe (which is generally 500ml) but here 375ml. The poorest value in Southwold

We booked to eat at the boardwalk with 5 adults and 2 children for a birthday celebration. We were asked to pre order of which I thought was a little odd as we were sitting relatively early. The restaurant was fairly quiet however we still had a lovely time. Food was presented nicely and tasted wonderful. I would highly recommend... More

Super little lunch on a wet windy winters day! Soup delicious served with granary baguette and star of the show was the Dingley Dell sausage and caramelised onion sandwich. A little pricey really but we didn't mind as the view was worth it. Both lovely young ladies that served us were charming, their boss was off sick so they were... More

On Southwold's famous pier, this restaurant provided us with a really good meal at a reasonable price. Good vegetarian options too. Service was efficient and friendly and the food was generously portioned and well cooked.

We came to the pier on our anniversary and had a fantastic meal. The waitresses were smiley polite and helpful. My hubbie had the fish and chips followed by sticky toffee pudding..delicious he said. I had grey mullet on mash with a seafood fricasse followed by gooseberry panna cotta which was beautiful, amazing flavours. We eat here a couple of... More

Just walked out of the 'Restaurant' on southwold pier. Will was a bit slow in deciding what to drink "well" she said (Sara the waitress) "he can have water" carrying on she took our order, and again Will was a little undecided Sara says "well you'll have sausage and chips as its a long time till tea time" I then... I really liked the Boardwalk. My meal was delicious and the service couldn't have been friendlier. There are some very cheerful, welcoming people working for this place and they handled our large group without any fuss. I also appreciated the innovative and delicious dishes that the Boardwalk came up with for my partner, who has quite restrictive dietary requirements. Having... More

Description
The Boardwalk Restaurant is a family-friendly restaurant serving delicious food all day from 10.00am. Many of the ingredients are locally sourced. Open everyday of the year except Christmas Day, we serve morning coffee and cakes from 10.00am, lunches from 11.30am through to the early part of the afternoon, cream teas are a speciality in the afternoon. In the summer months we do high tea for children from 5.30pm and then suppers all evening. The hours are slightly shorter in the autumn and winter months, please check our website for daily opening hours. Sit inside or enjoy sitting on the boards outside enjoying some of the finest views of Southwold. Fully licensed, there is no nicer place to have a pint of Adnams or a glass of wine, listening to the sound of the waves beneath your feet! Please note: our food service hours are 11.30am - 4pm, and 5pm - 8.30pm. These times are weather permitting and therefore can change.
