Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’m so disappointed in the service, we had booked a table of 10, and it was like they were doing us a favour for feeding us, really expensive, food not bought out together. Manager and owner are really rude, game pie had very little game...in it. If you want to be belittled by the mgr/owner this is the place for, as they are doing you such a big favour by feeding you mediocre food that you have paid good money for.More

Hello Lucy. Just for context. … my manager is very professional and is extremely fabulous in her role. I am personally very happy that she is my manager. And I ( the owner ) wasn’t working. Your review is incorrect in that regard. I think...More

Had the Christmas dinner and it was one of the best roasts I've had for a long time, the turkey and belly pork were perfect. Despite being busy the service was exceptional, staff amazingly friendly and attentive and food perfect. Very happy.

First visit to Trinity and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Had a lovely welcome from Sue our waitress. The restaurant is an old chapel so is really quirky, but very comfortable. The menu has a number of excellent choices as well as daily specials. Between us we...had the chowder, chicken wings and mussels for starters. Each was delicious and served piping hot. For mains we had fish pie x 2 and haddock rarebit, again delicious. The fish pies were huge, full of flavour and really well done. Sue was great as our waitress, really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Will be back soonMore

We wandered the length of Battle High Street before being tempted into Trinity by the interesting 2 for £15 lunch menu. This proved to be an inspired decision as we liked everything that we ate and plates went back totally empty. The service was attentive...and friendly without being pushy or intrusive. Apart from the nice food i was particularly pleased that we were allowed to take our own time and enjoy a long leisurely family catch up before going our separate ways. Thank you team at Trinity of Battle.More

We saw a £15 2 course lunch advertised which got us in the door. We sometimes think for that price, the serves are small but that was not the case. Ellie and Sue made us very welcome and served us up some freshly made arancini...and freshly battered fish and chips. Delicious all round. The playlist of music was great too!More

Second visit to Trinity and just as good as the first. Service is exceptional, extremely friendly, professional and everything you would expect from a great restaurant. Food was amazing. Plenty of it and absolutely delicious. Well done.

This was my 3rd visit to Trinity and it more than lived up to my first two. There were four of us and we all were super impressed with the service and the food. For the quality and quantity of the food the price is...very reasonable.More

Attentive staff and pleasant environment. Fish platter looked good but everything was over chilled and the razor clams were shrivelled. I presume much of the dish had been quickly defrosted. Oysters seriously unimpressive.

We had a wonderfully relaxing lunch here (even with two little ‘uns!) and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the setting was very welcoming. The macaroni cheese with smoked cheese was beautiful with a lovely, crunchy topping and my wife said the burger...she had was the best she’d had in a very long time. And the children’s meals were huge and well worth it. We tried the Trinity on the off-chance and can highly recommend it. Thanks to all concerned!More

We went to Trinity for the curry night and it was amazing, I had the Thai chicken curry which was full of flavor and one of the best curries I have had in years. It came with rice, Nan, and lots of different bits ....All fresh and home made and for £19 it also came with a drink. Such good value for money. I love this restaurant it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff are so good at giving great customer services. I would recommend this place 100% and I am looking forward to returning soonMore

We were away for a few days to celebrate my nearest and dearest special birthday - unfortunately the hotel we were staying in and dining in their restaurant on the night had a gas explosion in the kitchen and closed the restaurant. At very short...notice the hotel booked us in for a meal at the Trinity restaurant in Battle. We were not expecting to much and were disappointed not to be at the hotel. - However we were surprised and delighted with the quality of both food and service, not to mention how much money saved by not eating at the hotel. From start to finish the team members could not have been more polite or efficient - wild mushroom starter was superb and my steak was like putting a knife through butter. At the end of the meal, they also served up a special birthday treat - compliments of the restaurant. We would highly recommend the "Trinity of Battle" and will certainly be back when next in the area. Thankyou Trinity - John & SheilaMore

Great food at a fraction of the cost that this quality of food would normally cost. The 2 young chefs have quite a skill in serving up great food. I’ve eaten at some high quality restaurants but this restaurant is up there with them.
