Great food and amazing location....right next to the castle. We had Sunday Roast which was superb. Service was a little lagging but I think it was because it was the end of service. A great lunch place when you go to see Pevensy Castle!

Chose the Royal Oak for lunch simply because of its location opposite the Castle and, to be honest, it would have been impossible to have made a better choice. The place was very busy but they found us a table and when my colleague explained...More

We're very sorry you didn't enjoy your meal. I am confused about the sausages as I make them personally. There is usually about 150 in a batch. The meat goes through the mincer twice with all the seasoning etc. It's impossible for them to be...More

Some excellent local beers on tap. We weren't there for food but the pies looked good. The pub is directly opposite Pevensey Castle so it is very handy for getting warm after a somewhat breezy walk round the castle.
