We were a group of eight who all enjoyed our lunchtime meal and found the service efficient and friendly. The two log fires were welcoming on a cool spring day. The food was well cooked with generous sized portions at a reasonable price. We will certainly go back.

This is the second time I have been to the Bull; first experience wasn't great (bad food, no apologies and over priced) but I thought I'd give it another try. Went here for Sunday lunch (8 people) only tonne sat next to the toilet. When asked if we could move, they said no and rudely stated they will happily sell... More

Stayed here for two nights, had one dinner and two breakfasts (which are for residents only I think). This place is listed here as a restaurant but is also listed under Ticehurst as a pub with lots more reviews, so I will just mention the dinner here: the pub is a traditional, comfortable country inn with all the usual pub... We arrived and from the very start the service was excellent. Unfortunately due to popular demand the roast lamb had finished, only option left was half roast chicken!! The dinner was delicious with a great variety of veg, it was just too big. A quarter of chicken would've been sufficient but this doesn't take away the fact the atmosphere was... More

We came here late afternoon after a day out at Bewl Water, despite all the tables being reserved the staff found us a table. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. The steak and kidney pudding was huge and the fish curry also tasty. I've dropped one star as the kids meals although good quality, were a... More

This is one if our local pubs and we love coming here after a walk down to Bewl water. They have a spacious beer garden on either side, roaring fires inside in the winter and the food is great. We had our pre-wedding meal here - fantastic service.

13th century atmosphere with log fires in both bars and the loo is freezing! The food is excellent and nicely presented. We had the Christmas Menu which was imaginative with good size portions. My only gripe is that I don't like par cooked vegetables. The daily menu also offers reductions to seniors.

Really nice pub tucked away from the main road and a great place to visit whilst walking around Bewl water.
