We had a most delicious lunch sitting in the beautiful garden at 47 The Street. The service was exceptional, as was the ambience. Would definitely recommend.

Long wait for food on Mother's Day. Set menu. £37. For 3 courses. Starters and main courses okay. Two roasts and a lasagne food was nothing to write home about. Sorbet for dessert, no flavour, just appeared to be coloured soft ice. My daughter had...cassata, again no flavour at all. We didn't eat our desserts. For each course we waited 30+ minutes. Other guests who arrived half an hour after us finished their courses way before us. We ordered coffees to go with our desserts. They arrived and we had finished them before our desserts arrived. The restaurant wasn't busy. There were several empty tables. We have visited this place several times over the years. Unfortunately the long time between courses and the 'not so great' food on Mother's Day, has put us off coming again.More

Visited for the first time today after being recommended this place a few times in the past. It did not disappoint! Decor is nice enough and service very good, but the FOOD!....wow.. We had 6 different dishes amongst our 7 person group, and every one...was absolutely delicious. Mine was the best pork dish I have ever tasted, and similar comments made about the Lasagne, Veal and prawn risotto. I cannot emphasise enough how good the food was! It is quite expensive but for once I would say it is totally worth every penny. Fowlers farm charge similar prices now but there is simply a gulf in food quality. We have a new favourite restaurant for special occasions. If you like quality food go here, it's a real gem. Full marks to the chef!More

We had our wedding reception here In December. The food was amazing and the staff just superb.. Thanks for making our special day so memorable.

As always we had a great meal served by a great team with excellent wine - I can highly recommend the veal chop on the special menu

Visited here with my family for a birthday meal. Our group consisted of 7 adults and one child. In the summer I could see it would be a nice place to visit with a nice area outside with seating and a climbing frame. The food...was nice, portion sizes were ok and the price was slightly on the dearer side. The reason I am saying it is average is because of the service. Whilst we was in there so was some other large groups. Sadly we got lost and service became slow and impersonal. The restaurant was clean and it offered a good menu.More

Food is excellent here and very well sized portions. We came many year ago and to be honest it wasn’t as good as it is now. What they do have here on the money is great portion size and well as a non pretentious atmosphere...which comes with some success. We will be back and hopefully both are kept in order. Don’t do what others do, get pretentious and reduce size and increase cost ,,,it’s a major flaw in the Catering world it seems. Well done rayne 47,,,, excellent job to all.More

Had a really nice lunch here recently. Service was friendly and efficient. All the food was of a very high standard. Enjoyed smoked salmon and prawn cocktail, good pork belly main and pudding was also delicious. Parking opposite was full so we parked in a...road just a short work from the restaurant. Highly recommended.More

Two of us ate there yesterday lunchtime and I was disappointed that there is not a lunch time special menu. We ordered from the a la carte menu and it cost £126 inc one small glass of wine ( plus service) which I consider to...be over the top. Furthermore the portions were not large ,in fact there was one small platter of small roast potatoes and some boil in a bag vegetables between the two of us. All in all I couldn’t recommend it for valueMore
