Tiny little place (35 covers?) under the railway arches in Chelmsford. A bit of train noise, but nothing serious, and the Greek music hides it. Painted inside to represent a Greek taverna with a beautiful sea view. Fabulous, authentic Greek food, in good sized portions....More

Modest from the outside but absolutely does not disappoint! Went here for a meal with friends and enjoyed the most delicious meal, with complimentary shots as well! Don't forget to try the Baklava!

Visited here last weekend for a friday night treat. And what a treat it was. When you first walk in, it looks like a typical take away. However, walk round the corner and you are transported right to a Greek bistro on the seaside! With...More

Description
Small but cozy is the only way to describe it with seating capacity of up to 40 persons. With the vibrant blue & white colour scheme, traditional Greek mouth watering dishes and OUZO, METAXA, RETSINA, MYTHOS & KEO beers, we feel sure 'Zorba The Greek' will transport you to a place you once were (or want to be) on a Greek island somewhere in the Med....The TOTAL Greek experience right in the heart of Chelmsford!
At Zorba The Greek, what you see is what you get, basically, we are a down to Earth, Greek village style 'Taverna' with a pleasant traditional homely feel. We pride ourselves on our excellent freshly cooked meals and our overwhelmingly successful 'MEZE' but don't take our word for it, come and try for yourself. We feel sure, once tried, never forgotten!
