Went here for breakfast, staff were very polite and efficient. We didn’t have to wait for a staff member to take our order and our coffees were quickly bought out followed a few minutes later with our brunch breakfast. Restaurant was quite busy for 10.15...but that didn’t phase the staff as everything still ran smoothly. The staff are a credit to the business.More

Visited Charnallies at the weekend for the first time. We pre-booked a table for 2 and upon arrival the manager Lisa could see we are larger set people.and said we have a booth ready for you or would you prefer a table giving us the...opportunity to be more comfortable. She showed us to a table which was perfect for us. We had a lovely waitress called Kate who went above and beyond for us. She was very informative regarding the menu and drinks choices and even introduced me to my new favourite cocktail 'June Bug'. The food was amazing and perfectly portioned. Came to Clacton for the weekend with family we had a great time … had breakfast at Charnallies and would highly recommend it … the staff are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much bother … all you can eat brunch for £6 each...was great I had a vegetarian option … eat in or outside we highly recommend this restaurant so much so we went back for evening meal and weren’t disappointed fish and chips beautiful… 10inch pizza so tasty … bbq chicken I’m told was delicious all in all a great food great service …oh yes and the stack of onion rings are delicious … thank you Charnallies we’ll definitely be backMore

Great food but slow service on this occasion. I appreciate we were a large party of 12, but waiting for 1 hour for our food felt excessive, especially with hungry children! Friendly staff.

Very expensive for not much food .. the kids fruit sundae was mainly just banana with a few bits of orange and pineapple .. could do so much better

Friendly staff who accommodated 15 of us and the dogs last minute. We had a really friendly waitress and Lovely food and drink, the cocktails are 2 for 1 sunday - friday until 8pm excluding bank holidays, and they were delicious!! Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our meals on Sunday with family. The food was very good and cooked to order. The staff were really friendly especially our waitress Helen who was very friendly and helpful especially to my grandson. Only one small issue which Helen did say was...being dealt with was there was no drinks menu. Altogether a very pleasant experience.More
