Location and contact

The heart of the restaurant is a magnificent timbered barn. Originally built in 1372 it is listed as being of architectural and historical importance. As you walk in the restaurant the spectacular high ceiling and the gallery overlooking the main dining area creates a wonderful dramatic impression as you enter a world of elegance and fine food.

We booked a party of 6 but only 5 made it. Selection from both a la carte and table d’hote menus extensive. Food prepared and presented perfectly. Can’t praise Barry and his team enough. Great evening in wonderful surroundings.

A previous visit to Russells encouraged us to take Christmas lunch at this restaurant. However, although capable of serving a decent steak, Christmas lunch was very poor with almost raw vegetables , warmed-up turkey and dried up slices of Christmas pudding doused in blackcurrant 'sauce'...More
