Went to tea island for my surprise 50th birthday it was lovely. The food the tea the atmosphere and the lovely owner/ hostesses were wonderful. I plan on booking an afternoon tea again for when my friend comes over from Australia. I would recommend Tea...Island, it’s like a proper little tea room so lovely and authentic.More
Kerry and Samantha worked really hard meeting various dietary requirements and generally keeping everything running smoothly. They even managed to work around our fabulous but very loud drag queen!! Thank you

Hi Jo. Thank you for the lovely review, it’s very much appreciated.
A truly beautiful venue in the heart of Hornchurch. My wife came here today for afternoon tea with her friends, and absolutely loved it! Second time she has been here and she can’t praise it enough! She’s promised to take me for afternoon tea too...and to be honest I can’t wait and I am really looking forward to it! The owner and staff are just lovely, really friendly and nice and they really make you feel at home, just genuinely nice people. The food is so tasty, so well presented and made from quality ingredients. It is clear that they take great pride in their restaurant and in everything they do. This is a local business and real gem. The service is fantastic, the food is great, and the venue is beautiful. My wife has very high standards and if she says that they are doing everything right, then they are! Thanks for treating my wife and her friends so well today. I look forward to visiting soon. 😀More

Fantastic quality food and drinks, beautiful fresh Cakes and Sandwiches. Love the Decor, this...place is a little Gem. We cannot wait to return to try the evening entertainment with wine & nibbles. Thank you Linda you are just the best host! Keep doing what you do so fantastically well! XxxMore

Hi Carol. Thank you so much for taking the time to write your very kind review. We look forward to your next visit. Linda x
Well, I don’t even know where to begin. My Nan, sister and I had such a lovely time at tea party Island. The food was lovely. The cakes, scones and sandwiches were so yummy. There was so much we took some home - which we...loved haha. The manager herself was so attentive and so happy. Also we LOVED how she dressed! My Nan still talks about how much of a lovely time she had. I had such a great experience. Myself and my sister are planning an afternoon tea for my hen for my family here and I can’t wait. Thank you so much tea Island for making my nans birthday so special. You truly are a gem ❤️More
Hi Rachel. Thank you for the lovely review (and compliments) I’m so happy that your sister and Nan had such a great time and we very much look forward to hosting you again. Linda xx
Me and my husband visit the tea rooms a lot and some times take a little boy we care for with us, he is four and sees this as a very special treat, Linda always makes a fuss of him and treats him with a...little treat after his lunch. After reading such a poor review by one customer I was flabbergasted this place is spotless! And the cakes and scones we have always found super fresh. I booked afternoon tea for a group of my friends for a friends 40th one was a vegan and loved the range she was offered including vegan treats, Linda even gave my friend a free glass of bubble on the house, she had no problem in us bringing balloons and putting up our own banners. This Tea rooms is unlike anywhere I have been before, you are not rushed to eat up, you are offered to take home what you have left without having to ask which is a nice touch too. Linda is a lovely caring hardworking lady who always has a smile for her customers, she goes beyond for any special requests making sure customers are happy, she checks regularly that her customers have all they need and there are no issues. Give this beautiful quirky place a visit you won’t be disappointed.More
Hi Kerry. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. I’m so glad you enjoyed your visit. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Linda xx
The sandwiches were of very cheap, bad quality. The cakes and scones were not fresh. Shop bought not frehly made. One of the cakes looked mouldy. Scones were placed on top of the clotted cream container lids-NOT HYGIENIC!! The manager had a bad attitude and...bad customer service. We had to keep calling her over for things. She didn't even ask if we were ok and happy with everything. She was too busy sitting down and talking to her friends. The afternoon tea was meant to be a treat for both me and my friend who came all the way from Hull. It turned out to be a disaster. We could have done a better afternoon tea ourselves at home! So much money wasted!More
