Happily skipped our connection to Harwich to enjoy the experience of this celebrated and rightfully busy refreshment room. We enjoyed our bacon rolls - quickly prepared and served with a smile. A glass of the well kept real ale was a perfect accompaniment! we look...forward to our return.More

A bowl of glorious homemade vegetable soup for £2.50. What's not to like?! It was fabulous. The person who served me was friendly and helpful. Top marks. If I lived locally I'd call in regularly to eat there, that's how good it was.

Had breakfast at the station before setting out on the next stage of the Essex Way. The bacon sandwich was delicious and very good value at £3.70 with a cup of tea thrown in. A wonderful start to an excellent day's walking.

Fantastic, the owners don't normally open up on a Sunday but they did us proud for doing so, hope we get to go back again in the not too distant future

This is mainly, in my opinion, good for having a drink, meeting friends you are going to travel with. Like many station buffets, there is not the same ambience that is present in a cafe.

This is a very well run station buffet. It serves a good range of food, snacks, and drinks. The bar is well stocked with descently kept real ales. A pleasent place to sit whilst waiting for a train.

I'm not sure if the Station Buffet has gluten free options as its not my business, I just reviewed the business. If you ring them on 01206 391114 I'm sure they can answer your question. Thanks
