We stayed for 2 nights and had the à la carte and the Tasting menus. Each course was exquisitely presented and full of differing fabulous flavours. The local food sourcing was impressive and the vegetarian options interesting and delicious too.

We enjoyed dinner on two evenings and both meals were outstanding. We chose some cocktails while we looked at the menu and they were delicious. The food was locally sourced, so tasty and very well presented. The staff were chatty and friendly and went out...of their way to be helpful. We both thought it was one of the best eating experiences we have had in quite a while.More

Sadly very underwhelmed with our post wedding lunch for 5 of us. A long wait for our cocktails and when they did arrive were very plain and boring to look at, no decoration whatsoever. We had to chase up our requested water. After being seated...we had to find a member of staff and ask for menus after 10 minutes of waiting. We started eating our bread rolls as it was such a long wait for our starters. which were nice once they arrived. We were asked if we would like more bread rolls, which we did but they arrived too late as we had already finished our starters. Four of us opted for the beef, which was good but only accompanied with veg, it really needed some type of potato with it as the dish looked incomplete and didn't satisfy our hunger. We didn't bother with the very limited desserts on offer, even though we still felt hungry and left early to enjoy home made cake at home. Complementary little chocolate treats for the bride and groom were appreciated however the restaurant was not busy on a Thursday afternoon so the poor, lacklustre service was unfathomable. I spent a long time choosing a restaurant for our wedding day lunch and thought I had made a good decision but unfortunately that was not the case.More

One of the best meals we have had in a very long time. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, the staff very welcoming and efficient (they also make a fabulous Martini!) and the decor was beautiful. It was our first time staying/dining at...The Tudor Farmhouse - it will not be our last!More

Absolutely loved our dinner here. We were allowed to take our time and linger over dinner while we caught up with the family. Loved the cocktail list and the lamb was excellent!

We were at the hotel for a 3 night stay, so we were able to sample a number of different dishes on the menu, including starters, mains and desserts. We were very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food, without exception. The meat...and fish were cooked to perfection and the accompaniments were imaginative, well prepared and attractively presented. The extensive wine-list and suggested wine pairings for the desserts provided an added bonus and the sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable. The home-made bread was delicious and there were nice touches, like an amuse-bouche whilst waiting for the food to come. Everything was to a standard worthy of a Michelin star. As one would expect from a high quality restaurant, much of the food was locally sourced. Even the breakfasts were exceptional, with local sausages and bacon, preserves and fruit juice. We will definitely be going back!More

We had two fantastic dinners whilst staying at the hotel; taster menu one evening and a la carte the next. The taster menu was one of the best meals I have ever had. The food was absolutely delicious and looked amazing. Warm bread was served...with the meal and we were offered more if we wanted it. The service was attentive without being overbearing and the chef sent out an extra surprise treat for our birthdays.More

Good choice. Delicious starters, tasty mains - enjoyed the cod, sea bream & pork tenderloin as I was there for 3 nights. Good cheeseboard. And some very good wines

We booked a weekend away at the hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The package we chose was “The Foodie Experience” and we were not disappointed. Service was A* … every member of staff spoke as if they knew the menu intimately. Knowledgable, passionate, able...to confidently make recommendations. The surroundings were lovely. The one room feels more modern but the darker light created a nice ambience. The main dining room is rustic, warm and cosy. On the first night we had a five course taster menu… plus muse-bouche and petit-fours. Portions were not big enough to leave you bloated and didn’t need to be. The richness of flavours and freshness of product was just perfect. Every course was great but I’d happily recommend the beef with ox cheek eight days a week! The highlight however was the dessert, a passion fruit “compressed cream” with a pineapple salsa and pear sorbet. The following night we had the à la carte which was equally sublime. The pork was sublime and the dessert again wonderful … thanks Chef for doing your signature spiced apple and caramel dessert without the calvados! Great value, brilliant taste and super service.More

Had a three night stay at the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel and ate at the restaurant every night, the food and service was outstanding!! The two room choice gave it a cosy feel and the menu was varied with something for everyone. If you have an...allergy, they ensure that you are not asked every time you eat. Highly recommended and we will be back ❤️More

We were on half board as part of a 3 night stay. Breakfast was good - perfect eggs Benedict and the tastiest bacon that I’ve had in ages. Limited selection of cereals etc, but good enough as it’s a small hotel. The evening menu is...also quite small ( 2 meat, 2 fish and 2 veggie that change monthly), but the quality can’t be faulted. We couldn’t choose a favourite between the quality of the beef and the flavour of the peppercorn sauce with the pork. The apple tart with caramel sauce just pipped the chocolate cremeux into first place. Great service and no problems with tweaks to accommodate my fussiness ( sorry Gavin!). The only minor quibble was the cost of soft drinks not being shown on the menu ( other than mocktails).More
