Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We’ve been coming to Ronnie’s for years, but today we went for a birthday celebration/treat. Delicious tasting menu with scallops, sea bream, rhubarb and fondant amongst other things. Lovely, friendly service and a lovely vibe in the restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and seasonal and super...delicious.More

Ronnie's of Thornbury have surpassed themselves. A fantastic tasting menu with wine flight. One of the best meals we’ve had in the best restaurant in the Bristol area. Ron has introduced us to U.K. white wines but had never tried U.K. red wines. Paired red...was lovely and we tried another (all in the name of science). Really good stuff. Ron is on top form at the moment, top notch food and really great service from Rich and the team.More

This lovely place survived the pandemic and came out of it stronger than ever. This time, we opted for the fixed menu, which offers exceptional value. All three courses were spot-on. We went for a bin-end of wine, which also offered great value. Relaxed and...friendly, but extremely high-end food. Highly recommended.More

We had the set menu, and there is/was a delight in not having to choose. A fine and delicious consommé, followed by an exquisite chicken dish and then a crumble. All perfect and a waiter/maitre d' who is utterly wonderful. Thanks!

Our favourite restaurant and it didn’t disappoint, fabulous atmosphere great food and wine and impeccable service. We had the festive menu, each course complimenting each other, starting with a carrot and swede soup. We chose the tasting menu with wine and the pairings were perfect....Courses ranging from Scallops through to Christmas pudding, perfect menu for this time of year.More

We came here on spec and were absolutely thrilled. Ronnies has so much going for it: the interior is warm and welcoming and beautifully appointed. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Our starters of Scallops and a Ham Hock were beautifully presented and really well...thought out. We both had Loin of Venison for the main course which was served with poached pear and sliced parsnip that was caramelised with a delicious jus. A pudding of Bramley apple crumble with Calvados cream completed the meal. Everything was seasoned beautifully and nothing too salty so we were really happy. We shall certainly return and feel this restaurant deserves more accolades.More

In theory you could book the whole restaurant for 44+ covers but as we're coming into the busy season, it would be a good idea to contact the restaurant direct to avoid disappointment.
