Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We hired out the skittle room for a small family gathering and had an amazing afternoon. The venue was great, the staff were lovely and the food was delicious! Thank you

I came here with my wife and our friends who have family in the area, to eat a cheeseburger, and a cheeseburger I did eat. Here's a photo.

We visted this pub/ restuarant back in May after a visit to Mottisfont. The meal was booked for the evening and we sat in the Conservatory. It was a beautiful early summers evening. The meal we had was perfect and just delicious and accompanied by...too perfect Gin and Tonics for me and Ale for the the rest of the party. The service was excellent and very attentive and friendly too. The whole evening ended a perfect summers evening. We live in Valley Park, Chandler's Ford and we will visit again.More

Went here on Saturday lunchtime and had a lovely meal. I had the ploughmans with Cumberland sausage and ham, my husband had cheesy chips with sping onion and chillies. The quality of the sausage and the ham were second to none. My husband was a...bit jealous of my meal as he had only ordered the chips. We will definitely be back soon to order 2 ploughman's, not just 1 lol. It was a good menu and reasonably priced. It's also a nice pub to sit in, either inside or out. I'd definitely recommend the Mill Arms to friends and family.More

What a find! Decided on an early dinner here with the family including two children after a visit to Mottisfont (National Trust) which is a few mins up the road. The staff very extremely accommodating, great food and service with an extensive gluten free menu...which often very hard to find in pubs.More

This is a really lovely place. The decor and atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and the service is absolutely spot on. Everyone is friendly, chatty and engaging and the attention to detail was lovely. We had roasts for lunch. Probably the best I’ve had anywhere. The...meat was perfectly cooked and it was clear everything was freshly prepared and cooked. You couldn’t fault it. And…. what’s more is that all the prices including the wines were very fair and reasonable and not your usual “well it’s gone up again” and priced beyond a joke that is becoming increasingly common. A jewel in the crown of Hampshire I’d say, and l’ll definitely be going again soon.More

Going out as a larger group, with two coeliacs in tow can be challenging…however definitely not the case at the Mill Arms - an excellent separate gluten free menu gave loads of options. A good selection of drinks available, particularly recommend the alcohol free cider...(a first!) The food was served piping hot, well presented and everyone commented on the quality of their choice. Some old favourites, but the delicious pie of the day, the gluten free fish and chips, and the corned beef hash were especially praised. Generous portions meant that when it came to desserts, whilst there were fewer ordered, the request for extra spoons didn’t raise an eyebrow amongst the friendly staff. Prices very reasonable in relation to quality and quantity.More

Friendly staff, good value for money and nice venue. Thoroughly recommend this pub. We had the fish and chips but we've also had the lasagne and steak before. Very tasty and hot.

Haven’t eaten here for years but so glad we did. The food was fantastic, the pie was one of the best I’ve ever had. Deep filled, home made and perfect. Deserts were home made, generous and delicious. We both had the pie, followed by sticky...toffee pudding and an ice cream sundae. All the staff were so friendly, polite and helpful too. We were lucky enough to stay over night and breakfast the next day was fabulous. We will be back and hope to make a day of it by getting there by bus and train from Totton. Our research suggests this is very doable.More

Right opposite the train station, we stopped here for Sunday lunch after visiting Mottisfont Abbey (20 min walk away). Good job we had booked as it was fairly busy. Great country pub atmosphere, the staff were really friendly with us and our dog - treats...are on continuous supply. The Sunday roast was delicious, well-priced, generous portions and, with a wide selection on the rest of the menu, we’ll be returning very soon.More

28 of us arrived for our meal. Everything was ready and the meal was served. We had pre-ordered from a special menu. The waitresses patiently went around the tables finding the recipient for each meal. We all had a good time. The food was great....It was no trouble at all for the organisers.More
