Found when looking for somewhere to go to for lunch when I was working nearby. Great traditional cafe grub at a great price. Shame it's so tucked away.

We came here when we took our kids to the steam railway. Unfortunately, it just wasn't setup for eating with kids - the menu offered only a packed lunch for kids. When we asked for hot food for them, the girl serving looked a little lost and then spoke to the manage who (in earshot) said to her just to... More

Popped in with an old friend for a brew bacon sarnie and a chat and it is everything a cheap cafe should be. Don't expect high quality food just good and edible and decent quantities

Took some disabled pensioners here last monday hoping to take them to the lakes to feed the ducks but the access to the lakes was too rough and muddy to push a wheel chair over because the usual tarmac access was blocked by some porta cabins and fensing placed there for a construction project. so sadly we couldn't get near... If you want a small, medium or large English Breakfast and a mug of tea or coffee (no "cups of cheeno" here" for about a fiver (cash, no credit cards) for the medium, then this is the place. The building is an annexe to the steam engine shed, so like other reviews, don't expect a cosy, warm environment, but that's... More

Well in my opinion there are some unfair reviews here. I have rated it as Very Good although to be honest that is only because "average" would be too low and unfair. I went for a breakfast before going on to watch a football match. I had the maxi breakfast which was priced at £6.50 this included Coffee, toast and... More

Sorry but this was genuinely the worst place in which I've eaten. Food was delayed, terrible quality and overpriced. Toasted cheese sandwich was 2 pieces of toast with grated uncooked cheese in the middle and cut once!! Chips were so greasy and some were cold. Dirty tables and chairs. Pretty grim!
