We were delighted to find this superb restaurant through TA. We decided to choose from the fixed menu, which at £29 was terrific value for the standard of food served. All three courses we chose were so well cooked and presented. We would definitely recommend a visit.

Totally AMAZING!
We have lived in Fareham for many years and knew of the reputation of Truffles but some how managed to miss it until yesterday.
This has to be the best in Fareham for an intimate dinner with friends or just couples. I guess there were about 16 other diners in the restaurant the ambience was just right.
The main event, the food! Each and every course was cooked and presented to perfection. Hake, Pork Loin and Venison - excellent. The Velouté was out of this world and the desserts amazing. The cheese board packs some flavours and the presentation brilliant
The service and welcome (same friendly lady) was warm and attentive.
Our total spend of 3 courses for 4 with wine, water and a couple of 0% beers was around £50 per head.
Don't miss it!

Five of us went to Truffles to try their Christmas fixed price menu. We were not disappointed and enjoyed a really delicious three-course meal that was perfectly cooked for all of us. Service was excellent, being friendly, courteous and neither too slow nor too fast. We will certainly be returning before long.

We booked this place for a special occasion as it was our first wedding anniversary. We reviewed the menu and picked this one out of many for our special treat. We did mention this upon booking but no mention during our visit (coming from a management hospitality background we know this even being mentioned would be a special touch)
The menu was slightly different to the one that is online and the prices were also slightly different.
My husband had the pork which was disappointing. It was quite chewy and the cassoulet just tasted like tomato puree.
My beef was cooked nicely but I just found it odd that they would serve it with bubble and squeak...which did not taste of much.
I know we should of mentioned this before we left and also during the meal. But it was such a small, intimate setting we felt awkward in doing so.
We also know everyone's taste is different but we could not help but feel disappointed after spending £20-£34 on each of our meals which we were not overly impressed by.

It would be easy to walk past this restaurant, it's unassuming and not obvious, but please don't!
We went here for dinner last night and it was fantastic. Warm and welcoming, lovely service but the food was exceptional. All of it really well cooked and beautifully presented and very good value too. Husband had 3 courses, I had 2 courses and we shared a bottle of wine, all for £112.

We visit this restaurant regularly as a couple, but for our last visit we brough a friend along who was as impressed as we were. The small menu, which changes every couple of months, ensures that the food is really fresh and of a consistently high standard. One of us is a non- meat eater and the creative vegetarian dishes are some of the best I've eaten.
The restaurant itself is small, so it always has a nice intimate feel. The service is attentive, without being intrusive. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Without any question of a doubt the best restaurant in Fareham. Limited choice so you know that the food is freshly prepared and cooked and sensibly sized portions. The service is friendly, competent and discreet. We go as often as our pockets allow.

This is a wonderful little restaurant with exceptional food and drink, a varied and exciting menu with a significant wine menu. The attention to detail never disappoints, great value for amazing food, beautifully presented with good portion sizes. We will return again and again.

We have been patrons of this restaurant , on and off, for over forty years. Right from the start, when Alain was behind the stove and French cuisine was the order of the day. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since and last night a birthday celebration gave us a reason to go back to the restaurant after a gap of quite a few years. We were not disappointed. Some tasteful redecoration has taken place and there seems to be more room. We went for the "midweek brasserie" menu and the food was excellent. We have always been in favour of a set price for a menu and this is what we got. Service was very good and we were looked after front of house by a charming lady, obviously half the husband and wife team who now owns the restaurant. We could not fault the experience. I am sure that Alain would be chuffed to know that his baby is now in such good hands. Well done Truffles. We will be back !

We were visiting the area and the husband found Truffles on list of restaurants to visit in Fareham and we weren't disappointed - we had early dinner so first arrivals. Gemma was attentive without being a pain and the food was absolutely delicious. Restaurant was filling up as we left and was busy when we passed by next night which is good to see in a local restaurant. Recommend for special night out.

Simply excellent food! Ate here with friends and we were all thoroughly delighted with the food - the restaurant itself is small (probably 20 covers) snd modt other tables were occupied but bur service was good, and the food arrived in good time. Pork & Mustard Croquette and then Roasted Cod were my choices - both were delicious, and even had room for a chocolate brownie. Wine choices excellent and vegetarians catered for (although slightly limited choices). One recommendation would be wider choice of alcohol free drinks...

The first time wasn't a fluke, we came back after lockdown and the food was still amazing. They are open again on Fri & Sat evenings. The chef is an artist, all the flavours work so well together that every bite is a party in your mouth. Portion sizes are just right, you can have 3 courses and not feel stuffed. For a couple the meals and two drinks each come to around £100, not bad at all for a fantastic meal.
We had smoked duck with mango chili salsa & crispy rice noodles and a
torched mackerel fillet with beetroot, potato, dill and red onion salad for starters. Both were a symphony of taste. Followed by a roasted rabbit loin wrapped in prosciutto with a mustard sauce and a Pan seared beef fillet with saffron and spring onion potato cake and a Dolcelatte and pine nut sauce. OMG, who is their butcher? Desert was balsamic and basil marinated strawberries and a sticky toffee pudding, both delicious. A small selection of wines is available per glass, all those tried so far have been good and great value for money.
Now stop reading and book this place already!

We chose this restaurant to eat whilst travelling through Fareham. We couldn’t have done better.
We chose from the Midweek Brasserie menu, every course was delicious and proved to be excellent value for money.
Should the opportunity arise we would not hesitate to visit again.

Our visit was made within 30 mins of checking availability for a Tuesday evening birthday celebration meal.
We selected the mid- week menu and weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent, tasty and great value. The service was relaxed, friendly, and professional.
We’ll definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and will be visiting again!

Following good reviews we booked a date night supper here when we realised we would be passing through Fareham on Wednesday night.
What a fabulous hidden gem, what delicious food!
Just try it and see you, will not be disappointed. Every course was beautifully presented and every course was a delight. I didn't want 3 courses but couldn't resist!
Lovely friendly staff and altogether top night out. Highly recommend.
