Nestled in Havant, 19 Fourteas Tearoom offers a charming blast from the past with its 1940s-inspired ambiance, which guests frequently find delightful and inviting. Patrons commend the homemade cakes and fresh high tea, noting the meals are not only scrumptious but also reasonably priced, although there are occasional remarks about certain menu items not quite hitting the mark. The service at this nostalgic spot is often celebrated for its attentiveness and warmth, enhancing the overall dining experience. First visit but definitely not our last. This tea room is just crammed with nostalgia and vintage loveliness, this adds to the wonderful atmosphere here. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, we weren't treated like a faceless customer who just happened to walk in the door, we were treated like old friends, this was customer service at its very best, and we loved the fact that staff dressed fittingly to the period represented in this gorgeous tea room.! We had the afternoon tea which was vintage perfection, we had the perfect balance of sweet and savoury and we were very nicely filled up with it. We loved the fact that it was a proper vintage afternoon tea, just like we had stepped back in time, absolutely loved it. My granddaughter loved having her own teacup and saucer, using a tea strainer and pouring her own milk out of a cute little milk bottle. There were a few hand made crafty pieces for sale, all these items were reasonably priced, very quaint and were not pushed in your face to make a sale! I purchased some angel cake to take home for my husband, he had half of it as it was so scrummy I felt he needed to share it with me! Lol, sorry darling! If you love experiencing a bit of days gone by! I'd strongly recommend you visit the 19 Fourteas Tea room, you won't regret it.

Having been recommended this Tea Room, booked a High Tea for my Mum's 82nd Birthday. Lovely lady welcomed us and dressed the table as I told her it was a birthday treat. The place is full of war time memorabilia with lovely old songs playing in the background. We had a choice of sandwiches with crisps, quiche, cheesy biscuits, shortbread, flapjacks and iced cakes. We had to turn the scones down as we couldn't do them justice and endless pots of fresh tea. Had a good look around the bits and pieces and even the nisson huts down the end of the back garden. Memorable visit and will return.

My fiance organised a surprise to collect a high tea with scones for my birthday. We travelled up from Eastleigh and it was well worth it. On arrival lovely Jaqui was so friendly and warm and it was such a lovely treat to have something prepared for us during lockdown! The high tea was perfect and the scones were delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to make a special trip up there to enjoy the food and hospitality in really quirky and fun surroundings that take to back to the 1940s. Thanks so much to Jaqui (Betty!) and the team for making my birthday so special x

Loved this cute little tea room . It is pretty small so book early to avoid disappointment. There is wartime memorabilia all over the cafe , so your Nan or Mum/ elderly relatives would be nostalgic or if you were interested in that time period . We had our choice of sandwiches delivered to us on cute flowery plates , with little cakes , pastries , mini pizza and sausage rolls with tea or coffee . It was good value and staff were friendly . Will take my Mum next time . If worried about parking with elderly relatives there is parking possible opposite with a disabled badge .

Ordered afternoon tea to be delivered, a surprise for a lockdown birthday - very easy to arrange and we weren't disappointed. In addition to the afternoon tea our scones came individually wrapped - a lovely touch and which exceeded expectations. Good value for money, great staff - would highly recommend and can't wait to visit the tearoom soon :)

Just returned from a wonderful lunch at the 19 Fourteas Tea rooms. The restaurant has moved to a larger premices which feels much more spacious but still maintains the character of the 1940S theme. Jackie is a wonderful host who not only makes you feel very welcome but her banter creates a relaxed atmosphere whilst offering an element of entertainment. I had a panini with side salad which was delicious but I also had food envy with friends who had the jacket potatos with one commenting it was the best jacket potato she had ever had. The cakes were also wonderful and the tea exactly as it should be, out of a pot with a tea cosy and through a tea strainer. The staff are all excellent and add to the relaxed comfortable atmosphere chatting and laughing with customers. I can highly recomend the venue but because of the popularity I would book ahead to avoid dissapointment. Well Done to Jackie and the staff, you have got things just right.

The Decor is good but the food is rubbish and hugely overpriced. We had a party of 4 elderly people but were told that we couldnt share 3 afternoon teas between us but everyone had to buy a meal .. WHY ?? .. then the High Tea consisted of 4 triangle sandwiches (ie. 2 slices of bread) . some shop bought quiche fingers, a cheap shop bought cake and some shop bought squares of flapjack and brownie .. and a scone that we took home with the small sachet of cream and sachet of jam .. At £17.95 each., the best thing about the whole meal was the tea from a china pot. No home baking, nothing "special" and apart from the sandwiches , it was all bought from a supermarket. VERY DISAPPONTING.

What can I say ! Such an awesome place! Had a belated Christmas get together with friends there. As soon as you walk in you are made to feel welcome and seated at tables with gorgeous cake stands stuffed with various sandwiches, quiche, nibbles, cakes and sweet treats. Everything fits into the era of the 1940s including proper tea leaves in beautiful teapots to poor into your cup and saucer. Finished off with a scone, jam and clotted cream , Yum!! Sat surrounded by everything from that time period it’s like taking in the history whilst enjoying music and chatting with the amazing staff that go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time. Would definitely be going back and highly recommend the tearoom for a nostalgic and enjoyable experience.

First visit since they have moved across the road only to find the personal touch was left back in the old place .The decorations were great to look at and there is plenty to see. The downside was the food , we all had an high tea the sandwiches were ok but the middle plate of quiche ,sausage roll and a pin wheel were awful . The quiche was like eating flavourless rubber . The sausage roll was dry and hard to swallow and the pinwheel had no taste whatsoever . The top plate had a nice light sponge cake but as for the rest it just didn’t look very tasty and it wasn’t there was a small chunk of bread pudding and small chunk of flap Jack and a few grapes. We also had a plain scone with jam and cream which was nice . No more table service it’s all self service and payment upfront. No more little tea charms . The owner was telling off a member of staff in front of customers which was not very professional and made us feel very uncomfortable .

Once again I thoroughly enjoyed my experience in this wonderful time capsule!! Always greeted with a smile and made to feel very welcome. Best place around for a proper cuppa poured from your own teapot, not to mention the homemade cakes!! The coffee and walnut cake is to die for!! The food comes out fresh and hot and the liver is a favourite when on the menu. High tea is full of fresh tasty sandwiches, nibbles and homemade treats that fill you up. Always gets sent home with the scone and trimmings to go with it to enjoy later as always full up!! Very friendly atmosphere staff are always happy to have a chat even when they are rushed off their feet. I love visiting this lovely cafe, it takes you back in time . If you’re lucky enough you get to buy a bag of homemade fudge but it sells quickly!! Good food, great atmosphere and will be back there again!!

Wow what a find! Went for lunch and had the most delicious high tea. Staff so helpful and friendly, dressed in period clothing. Atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We took our 20yr old son and he loved it there too. The owner and staff have evidently worked so very hard and have successfully achieved the most enticing tea room. A wonderful experience and we will definitely return. Thank you so much x

I looked at this venue on line and saw their menu was very reasonably priced, nice twist and a bit different, so made the effort and met my friend there. The staff were lovely, the place is fun and unique. I'm so torn on what we ordered, I had a tuna mayo sandwich, the filling was nice and plentiful, but it was margarine on basic white cheap bread. I don't know if it was my expectation, but if ever I go out for lunch and order a sandwich I expect bloomer bread or doorstop sandwiches, I mean I could have done better at home. The price was £6.50 with a handful of crisps. I mean I was expecting the £4 it showed and still shows on their website, so if I had fresh bread I would have been happy to pay the difference. Such a shame, as I would have loved to return but solely because of the bread I won't.

I loved the atmosphere! I'm 64 and it brought back such a lot of childhood memories because my late parents had so many things in our home. The food and drinks were excellent. The cakes are HOMEMADE! I always say that homemade cakes are far nicer than factory sourced cakes and this proved no exception. I would have loved a second slice of coffee and walnut cake but I'm already overweight! My friend had a panini and enjoyed it too. Tea was loose leaf in a tea pot with strainer! None of this modern tea bag stuff! Everything in 1940's style! We visited with our Registered Assistance Dogs, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Also, they provide a ramp so I was able to get my wheelchair inside. Note that the toilet is too small to accommodate a wheelchair but there is a very good grab rail by the toilet that is very helpful. You need to be able to walk from the toilet door to the toilet to use it if you are a wheelchair user. Staff also try to be deaf aware. It's almost like having a meal in a museum! Brilliant to take children as part of a history lesson! Strongly recommend a visit. My friend lives locally so she comes here often but I live over 100 miles away. I hope to go back next time I'm the area.

I came to the tea room last night for a psychic night. What a great evening. The staff at the tea room were all so welcoming and the food is always delicious and well presented. The decor in there is wonderful and reminds me of my childhood visits at my grandmother's.. I absolutely love the little teapots and proper cups and saucers. It's a real treat to be able to pour proper tea with proper tea leaves and a strainer. Betty is hilarious and always makes you laugh. Fab place to go for a cuppa and food. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. I

We went here for a meal there was 7 of us i would ( i would advise you book ahead if there is a few of you ), it was like setting back in time, a lovely atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal in a lovely surrounding set in world war 2. The portions were very generous, it was very good value for money. I would recommend anyone to try this wonderful tea room tucked away in Havant.
