We specialise in healthy, wholesome, seasonal ingredients, locally sourced (where possible) from within 50 miles. All our coffee is locally roasted by River Coffee in Alresford. Our menu is made up of drinks and dishes that all start with health at their heart, and include a range of vegetarian and vegan options alongside more traditional dishes. We are also licensed, with a carefully selected range of wines and beers.

Found this little gem while riding through the area. They have a full menu, juice bar and coffee shop with a good selection of desserts/treats. It is a small, cozy place with a very friendly atmosphere.
I really enjoyed the fact that everything was clearly labeled, and the choices for gluten free were vast. Overall the prices for food was a bit steep for the area - I felt as if I was paying London prices.
The coffee was outstanding, and the gluten free millionaire shortbread was very rich - more bitter than sweet - which was a great twist on the usual.
If I am in the area I will be back to try more.

Not local to the area so went on past reviews and glad we found it. Seems like the sort of outlet that should thrive in a town like Petersfield (meant in a nice way!). The menu is varied, plenty of intersting salads and importantly helpful staff that understood the importance of gluten free options for a Coeliac. Lots of other healthy options. Slightly daunting going in for the first time but once we'd worked out "find a table and then order at the till" all was fine. Will definitely be making a second visit.

What a lovely experience? Friendly staff. On the Thursday delicous fresh mint tea and hubby enjoy avocado and poached egg on toast.
We enjoyed it so much went back the next day and enjoy the delicious smoothies. Hubby enjoyed the green machine and I highly recomend up beet. I enjoyed an avocado salad and hubby enjoyed the poached egg and avo on sourdough so much he ordered it again.
Some good options of vegan and gluten free healthy goods. Menu is ample portion size good too.

We have been regular customers of this lovely place for many years and missed it during the lock down.
After having isolated for 12 weeks due to a member of my family being vulnerable, we were really looking forward to visiting this venue. As always our lunch was healthy and tasty but visiting 2 other venues before, we found that you are not really following all the necessary precautions to keep this place COVID19 Friendly and we did not feel safe.
Could not believe that none of the staff were wearing a face mask despite you were still trying to keep the social distance and like in other venues you did not take our names and contact details. We also saw at least 3 or 4 people coming in through the side door. Nobody was keeping a check of this, which is unacceptable in this current situation.
In the old days I would have given you 5 stars rating for the food, customer service and friendly staff but am afraid I am only giving you 3 stars because we are only starting to ease the lockdown following the pandemic and for your sake and the general public sake. "Please make it COVID19 Friendly and take all the necessary precautions.

Thank you for your review although I think it is hugely unfair. I have studied the government guidelines for my industry and carried out a very strict risk assessment of my premise which I am happy to share with you. All the guidance has been followed and all legal requirements are being adhered to. I have met you many times before so I know you are a avid fan and I feel this is very out of character. If you would like to discuss further please do come and visit me or give me a call.

We went in here based on the Trip Advisor reviews. I'm glad we did (and bypassed all the Costa and Cafe Nero chains). My wife owns a community based coffee shop and knows very well the importance of well made food, a relaxing ambience and friendly/efficient staff. All of this is shown at the Natural Food Deli. Yes, it's not as cheap as a chain with their pre-packaged food but the food is not only healthy but is made to order and uses quality ingredients. The special callouts for our visit was the homemade pea soup (the best we've ever had) and smashed avocado and chicken on sourdough bread (spot on and generous portion) and the choc brownie made from raw chocolate, beetroot and coconut.
The coffee was also good - black Americano with a strong flavour.
Service was quick and friendly and the seating area is cosy and relaxed.
The total for four of us was £47 (including tip). As I say not the cheapest but the quality offsets the slightly higher cost.

Particularly good range of gluten free foods. Large choice of GF cakes (rather than just the usual dreaded GF brownie!) and breakfasts, salads and sandwiches can be made GF if requested.
Also very good options for lactose intolerance, vegetarians or vegans.
Coffee excellent - well balanced (not too bitter or sweet) with full flavour and fresh aromas.
Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about cross-contamination risks. We felt safe eating here with our dietary requirements (Coeliac disease and lactose intolerance).
It is tucked away just off the high street so not too busy and has a nice ambiance.

My partner and I visited Petersfield early in the morning as we are considering moving to the area. We found The Natural Food Deli close to the property we were viewing just on the edge of the high street. The food options were very inclusive (I eat gluten free where I can) and extremely tasty!! We had the avocado gluten free option with a poached egg and bacon (my partners request for fried egg was accommodated)! The portion was amazing - honestly such beautiful presentation and taste! The person who served us had such a beautiful, warm and welcoming face, a lovely smile and the energy was just amazing. We would definitely return here and could see it becoming a regular spot for food at all times of the day. If you work remote it would be a perfect spot for a few hours on your laptop, blog or book writing etc! Decor was quirky! Very progressive menu overall and would love to try more. Thank you for a wonderful experience! :) <3

An absolute charming establishment in the centre of Petersfield, which proved to be an absolute delight for brunch.
It has an extensive organic menu, which had a cuisine well suited for vegan and vegetarians. There is a specials board with daily meals as well.
The coffee was excellent and strong, served in a fantastic environment by staff who are extremely pleasant and attentive.
One last important thing, they are dog friendly !

We were very pleased with the food we ordered. It was plentiful, tasty and nutritious but we were not pleased with the surroundings or some of the staff. Although the surroundings have changed little over the years the cafe now allow dogs , which to some non dog owners is a negative, and when we arrived we were offered a table very close to a couple with two dogs and the dogs were sitting in seats which would have been far too close to us. We declined. IF dog owners must bring their pets everywhere surely the animal must be made to sit on the floor under the table. I would not be happy sitting on a seat newly vacated by dogs ,for obvious reasons as well as matters of hygiene. This brings me to my second point, the aforementioned dog owners clearly knew the management and they were all buddy , buddy thus the staff allowed them to have their dogs on seats. Also, when a young woman came in a member of staff gave this lady a prolonged hug and others crowded around chatting, blocking the doorway and with their backs to customers. Surely , whatever the relationship, it should be enacted behind the scenes? We were made to feel as if were irrelevant.

I'm sorry to read this today. I am glad you enjoyed the food, but I'm sorry you did not enjoy the experience overall. I would always encourage a customer to bring these things up whilst with us though, so we can do our best to accommodate. We could for example, have looked to move your table once an available space became free.
The 'allowing' of dogs has always been part of the business, since it's beginnings in 2012, so this is not a new thing. Unfortunately during busier times, we can't always offer seats that are away from customers who may have dogs with them. When we are not as full, customers are usually able to sit where they choose, so I'm sorry we couldn't offer you a seat away from a dog owner on this occasion. We also have an area close to our kitchen where there are seats we do not allow dogs (for hygiene and safety reasons) but I suspect that these were occupied. As for the comment regarding the dogs on seats. We neither encourage nor discourage this. If a dog does sit on a seat (or even if one doesn't) we clean and clear every surface once a customer/s has left, including the seats when a dog has been on one. We use anti-bac sprays and hot water cleaning on all surfaces. We also vacuum and mop every evening after we close. Staff are also washing hands if they handle a dog. Your point is noted, but I believe we are doing all the correct things to minimise any issues in that regard.
I'm sorry you felt that our being friendly to a loyal customer/friend was not to your liking either. We are a place where people come to meet family and friends alike, and some of our customers and staff have known each other a long time. I wouldn't want to discourage the friendly atmosphere we have here, but I'm sorry if it affected your visit with us. Finally, regarding the door blocking. We know the space at the front is not ideal, and can occasionally become busy as people come and go, but I'm again sorry if this negatively affected your experience.
No customer is irrelevant. If you choose to return (and I hope you will) then please ask for me directly - Robert - and I will happily address these points further with you, in person. Thank you for coming to see us, and we hope to see you on another occasion.

Enjoyed a lovely, healthy lunch and warm hospitality here today. My wife had the lentil and chickpea soup, and I had the grilled goats cheese with three different salads. Everything was really tasty, especially the goats cheese. They must be really happy goats to produce such an incredible flavour. We're house hunting in Petersfield at the moment so if we're lucky enough to find somewhere, we'll definitely come here more often.

Felt compelled to write a review for this lovely eatery. From the moment we arrived we could see it was busy but the owner was straight on us and made up a lovely area for the 3 of us. So friendly and welcoming, a rare find these days! Our order was taken promptly and our coconut lattes were hot (again rare) and probably the best I’ve had. Ordered the vegetarian breakfast which was perfectly cooked. I loved the fact there was a real steer towards healthy on the menu and everything was labeled with allergens. I give this place 5 stars, can’t fault it, only wish I could have tried more on the menu! I will definitely return.

I came to Petersfield with my wife and daughter for an appointment and decided to stop for some lunch as well. Not knowing any of the eateries I did a quick search on the internet for something close by. We decided upon The Natural Food Deli and what a great find this is. The food was fresh and very tasty, I had three kinds of salads with quiche of the day which was just fabulous. The flavours and fresh herbs used made me want to try and replicate them at home they were so good. The staff were also lovely and friendly too. Can't wait to come back and try another dish, shame they don't have an establishment in my local town of Haslemere, I'd be in there all the time. Enough gushing, well done to the team.

Delicious!
We stopped for a quick lunch and I had the mashed avocado on sourdough toast….it was really delicious! I make sourdough bread myself and this was very similar, whereas most SD bread that you get in the shops and numerous cafes, state that they’re serving sourdough but most of it tastes just like shop bought yeasted bread. The avocado was very fresh, marinated in olive oil and lemon juice and topped with seeds and crumbled goats cheese. Very tasty and the coffee was great too 👍👍 ….

Just popped in for brunch and coffee on our way to catch a ferry at Portsmouth. It’s all very easy to call into one of the ‘big players’ at a service station but being in the same industry ourselves we like to support the ‘small businesses’ and do some market research. This is a great place, fab food and coffee, lovely staff and service, couldn’t fault it. Next time we catch a ferry it this place will be a part of our holiday.

A welcome with a smile on entry, polite and efficient taking of order, good quality coffee and cake. Can recommend both the vegan chocolate orange cake and the carrot cake. Overall an enjoyable coffee and cake experience.
