A delicious spread of Tapas tonight. Started the meal with some sourdough, olive oil and aioli. The Aioli had enough garlic to knock your socks off which I absolutely love...no vampires tonight. Favourites were the crispy squid with a lovely rich thai dipping sauce. The...charred broccoli with a satay sauce was also delicious as was the salmon Ceviche. Killer plate of the evening however was the chocolate nemesis - a delicious light chocolate slice with a peanut butter parfait and toffee popcorn which had a toffee flavour from the Gods. Thank you for a lovely meal. My one and only constructive criticism would be a request to make the potatoes with the chorizo and spring onion roasted rather than new potatoes for that extra crispness. But personal preference! We are new to this area and so we looked for somewhere local to go for my son’s birthday in January. Someone recommended Annie Jones, so we booked a table for the 5 of us. What a great find! The restaurant also has a bar,...so the entrance is in the middle and leads to a Mediterranean feel area which seems to be a conservatory type room. There is then an attractive garden behind. The space could have been cold, but had heaters going and rugs on the chairs, so we were warm and comfortable. The decor is fantastic and really made it feel we were somewhere on holiday. There is a private party room on one side of this space and a bar opposite. A doorway also leads to the main bar itself beyond. This whole set up makes it feel really buzzy and fun. The staff are brilliant- professional and friendly. It’s a tapas style menu, so we asked for help with choosing and the waiter was excellent at this and spot on! He was especially nice and funny, making us feel welcome. We had cocktails to start which were really good, and then a variety of tapas - all perfectly cooked and piping hot. I can recommend the squid, and fish taco especially. We had a lovely evening, and can’t wait to go back.More

You walk into a beautifully decorated outside area, all set with blankets on each chair incase...anyone needed them. We were sat in the inside room with fireplace which was warm and cosy. We were a party of 6 so ordered about 18 or so tapas and nibbles to share. Although that sounds like a lot of food, the portions weren't actually that big so it was just about enough for us. I was absolutely delighted to see such good vegan choice on the menu that too clearly labelled. The service was great and we were looked after well by both the ladies at the restaurant. Most of the tapas were delicious, some (physically) easier to share than others. The only minor criticism I have is the tortilla itself which were quite hard. I'm not sure if this is because they were reheated. Aside from the tapas, the restaurant also does the usual drinks - great wine selection, prosecco, hot drinks plus desserts. All three of the desserts were presented brilliantly. I had the vegan tiramisu, which was one of the best I have had. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Food is delicious, ambience fantastic and prices are on the higher side but it is worth the experience for the odd occasion.More
