Visiting Stockbridge for the first time with a view to investigating the area were pleasantly surprised - no real reason, just liked the ambiance. Parked outside the Three Cups as it was the only space available and went for a walk along the high street....It was a very chilly Sunday afternoon around 2.30 and the longer the walk went on the more a warm pub and a hot Sunday lunch beckoned. The Three Cups very ably fitted the bill being warm, cosy and welcoming albeit a little on the low ceiling side:-) The Three Cups it seemed was serving until 3 pm and they had a table for two available so we grabbed it and set about checking out the menu and drinks. I went for the Roast Turkey whilst my better half opted for the Roast Pork at £16 a head. My wife had a ginger beer and I a half pint of a local brew it seems called 'Flower Pot'. The roasts were both excellent and as regards quantity, we certainly weren't left hungry. The potatoes had clearly been around for a little while and were well cooked but that wasn't a problem at all - all tasted excellent in particular, the cheese and leek sauce and the enormous Yorkshire pud. We shared a pudding, the 'Orange Pie' which to be fair was a mistake. It wasn't as described by the waitress sadly but there you go, we won't opt for it again. Had a further half of Flower Pot and a coffee which gave a total of just under £50 all in. Excellent value for money and certainly a place that we'd re-visit when in the area and would recommend.More

A favourite place to meet up with friends so we could catch up on news over a leisurely lunch. And after an 18 month gap there was plenty to catch up on. Was the restaurant able to deliver on the food part? Most definitely! Service...was slow (which is exactly what we wanted) and very friendly. The pea and ham soup was a meal in itself and perfect on a frosty day. The highlight though was the battered hake. . It was everyone’s choice and went down a treat.More

We really fancied a bowl of soup on our way home and stopped in Stockbridge as it is a lovely town. But none of the cafe were serving soup. Most of the pubs are normally fully booked on a Sunday but thought that it was...worth giving the Three Cups a try. We were lucky to get a table and Pea and Ham is one of our favorites. It was absolutely delicious and the ambience was perfect. It is a delightful pub and thoroughly recommend it. The roasts on the adjoining tables looked delicious too.More

As affordable eats in Stockbridge go, this is probably the best. Family friendly, reliable and balances restaurant with old-pub charm. They look after their beer properly as well which really helps.

The pub has a lovely ambience and the staff were very friendly. However.... the service was very slow and the food was over priced. We were looking forward to the harissa cauliflower, it was £15 for the dish, and was tiny. The other 3 guests...had the fish and chips, they were underwhelmed. The desserts were mediocre. and again not very good value for money. We had breakfast the next morning, the service was slow and there was not a great deal of care taken with the presentation of the food. One omelette was undercooked so didn't get eaten, another omelette arrived looking and lonely on the edge of the plate and the buffet ran out of fruit and yoghurt Whilst we had a lovely stay, we would not chose to return.More

Clearly built in the days when people weren't as tall, this very old Inn has a wonderful atmosphere and lots of old ornaments decorate the shelves/walls, to add to the ambience. We just had a light snack - jacket potato - but it was very...good, if a touch pricey. Staff very friendly and welcoming.More

What an oasis, found Stockbridge itself to be very snobby and so we were so pleasantly surprised to stay a night at The Three Cups. From walking in , the tall blonde young lady, who worked behind the bar, and on reception, and served breakfast,...was so welcoming and friendly. She has to duck most of the time as she was taller than 5’ 7”. The room was great the service was exceptional. Would give 5 stars but we found out the next morning that the Merlot that we were drinking was £45 a bottle. Ouch😩😩More
