Came in for a sandwich with the dogs. Food was simple, but well presented, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Would like to return and stay.

We chose the Peat Spade for our directors meeting as they have a private dining room. Excellent service and excellent food. Yes it is a little pricey but the quality and the private room make up for this.

We had a night away at The Peat Spade and they must be praised for getting it right! Everything was just so, helpful friendly staff, nice food and beer at reasonable prices and a warm comfortable room. We'll be back.

A good friendly welcome. Good quality food. Service a little slow but equally not hassled by staff constantly enquiring if all was well with our lunch. Prices as expected.

A few of us went down for our department Christmas lunch and were slightly surprised that the food on offer seemed to be “normal pub fare” (although quite expensive). Part way through the meal we found a table card offering Christmas lunch. To be honest,...More
