About
One of the few remaining traditional pubs within the heart of Herefordshire. This friendly country pub has been run for over 50 years within the same family and is still going strong. The New Inn is much appreciated by its locals for its range of real ales and warm atmosphere. A pub for all seasons, it has a welcoming interior with log burner and a large lawned garden area for outdoor refreshments. Good beer and homemade food is at the heart of the operation! Rambling parties welcome, local routes to be taken.

Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had completed a nice walk along the river Wye on a lovely sunny day. We were slightly early but the landlady made a special effort to ensure we were made welcome & served ASAP. This was very much appreciated.

We had a family gathering for Sunday lunch. The roast beef was so tender and the sticky toffee pudding is the best we’ve found anywhere. The landlady, Sandra, is always very welcoming. Heartily recommended!

This is a friendly, family pub/restaurant with a homey feel about it. The Sunday lunches are very tasty and great value for money. And all washed down with a couple of pints of "Hobsons". Five stars all day long!

Welcoming staff, pleasant unpretentious individual dining pub. Proper Sunday roast with lashings of gravy, our friends said it was the best beef in years. Home made Mars cheesecake and bread and butter puddings went down a treat. Thank you Sandra and staff your locals are...very lucky.More

The Landlady greeted my friend and I as soon as we walked in. What a lovely welcome. As we were staying DBB locally, we did not want a lot to eat but as the Dinner where we were staying was not very good, thought a...top up advisable. The menu was good and well priced but not quite what we wanted , (it did look good though). We told the lovely Lady that all I wanted was a salad and my friend a sandwich. No problem - she told us what meats she had available for both the salad and sandwich. Both came and were delicious, no pre-sliced vacuum packed meat here (I am a retired Home Economist). Bar staff pleasant and engaging and customers chatted to us. I do this at my local when any strangers come in and so it was nice to have a chat and find out about the area. Didn't ask the price, but needn't have worried we paid £8 each for the food and it was well worth it. I took half of mine back to the hotel, (thank goodness as all I could eat of the evening food was the chips!) Nice seating outside, plenty of parking and we were recommended places to walk from the Pub.More

What a lovely warm and inviting pub. The landlady and her staff were so welcoming to us and our two dogs. The food was excellent, I had steak pie , dauphinous potatoes and peas my husband had medium rare rump steak and it was cooked...to perfection. The puddings were great too. I had waffles with toffee ice cream and my husband had raspberry cheesecake. It really was good . Plus they had wye Valley real ales so my husband was happy . Fantastic country pub and thoroughly recommended ,More

Our baby granddaughter was christened at the village church, so we thought it would be fitting to ask if the landlady would allow us to hold a hot brunch for some guests in this charming pub after the ceremony. She agreed and it all went...very smoothly. A great few hours were had by all that attended. Delicious food and hot beverages consumed. Thank you so very much Sandra for helping us out& thank you to the lovely female chef that expertly prepared the food.More
