My husband and I regularly have the most delicious gluten free takeaway curry, so glad we have discovered this place. At last as a coeliac I can enjoy an exceptional curry! Well done Cochin!

This is an authentic place. We ordered and got the food in time. All meals were delicious, staff were polite. Till my experience here I thought the indian food is just about curry. I was so wrong. This place has shown us the range of spices as all colour of India. The place requires (advanced) booking but it's very much... More

You know the restaurant is good when the handle of the knife is inverted to the shape of the blade, thus allowing the knife to stand up length ways on its own. The food was excellent. We shared chilli paneer, a dosa and some sort of potato thing. The food was so soft, melting and well cooked. A hint more... More

This was my second time at Cochin, the first time it was brilliant, however this time.. We ordered 1 Plain Dosa and 1 Chilli Paneer- both nice- the Plain Dosa in particular was amazing. We then ordered a 2nd Dosa and it was awful, soft, floppy and cold. The first waiter we mentioned this to didnt do anything however the... More

I went here for dinner and had a very pleasant meal. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff and were intrigued by the menu. This place is very different to the standard curry house we are used to in the UK. They base there food on a specific area of India. So you don't get the standard... More

A little different from your standard Indian Restaurant with plenty of fish options on the menu-Lovely friendly service and very reasonably priced. The portion sizes are not very large but the quality of the ingredients is good. I can recommend the fish curry-very tasty.

I went there with an Indian colleague who comes from South India and his feedback was very positive so that is a big plus. I was not impressed though. Starters were OK but main dish was not. Fish curry was tasteless and portion was too small. Overall average food and OK service but nothing special.

Great place with friendly staff, a good atmosphere - even though we visited mid-week - and very good food.

The Cochin, is the first authentic South Indian restaurant in Hertfordshire, which offers the real flavors of south Indian cooking. We offers a good choice of meat
fish and vegetarian dishes.

Cochin is the most popular city in Kerala, which is one of the South Indian state. Kerala is known as 'Gods Own Country' because of its long coastline, numerous rivers, backwater networks and the availability of numerous spices.

We welcome you all to try the best South Indian
Dishes cooked by experienced chefs, who learned their first lessons of cooking from South India.
