I've been to Cochin several times recently and can recommend it highly. Very refreshing to find an Indian restaurant that specializes in Southern Indian cuisine and not the usual predictable stuff found in most Indian restaurants in this area. We are vegetarians but find that there is plenty of choice. The food is always well-prepared and excellent. The staff are... More

I have eaten here for lunch and dinner on several occasions and it never fails to deliver. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food quality is consistently good. The business lunch which is served Monday to Friday is amazing. £4.99 for a meat of vegetarian thali which includes 4 curries,2 sauces, rice and a dosa. Fantastic!

We particularly loved the starters. As vegetarians there was a good choice, but they tended to be milder than the meaty main courses. The breads were very different and tasty. Not too pricey either. Will go again.

I decided to take my partner here for his 25th Birthday, as we both are huge fans of Indian cuisine, and we were definitely not disappointed! The restaurant is lovely and quaint, located in the Old Town, which is quieter and out of the way. The food was excellent and full of flavour, very different from anything we have had... More

Being from Kerala anticipated the meal and not disappointed - masala dhosa was as good as it could be with tasty chutneys and traditional sambar. Main courses were well prepared and very good. Staff helpful and attentive.

I have been here many times and highly recommend Cochin to anyone that will listen. They don't make your bog standard curry that you find in many other 'Indian' restaurants, they make real food from Southern India, Goa etc, their food has that fresh taste you find in India and Goa, fresh herbs, fresh spices, a real combination of flavours... The menu had lots of delicious dishes all freshly cooked, between us we had had several different dishes including Calamari ,dosas, Lamb and Spinach curry, Chicken curry and Chicken balti, all were delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive and... More

A large group of business colleagues attended here for an evening meal and we opted for the "Feast". I have eaten banquet meals before usually at Chinese restaurants and the format is usually that they will bring out about three individual starter dishes and then fill the table with additional bits and bobs. Then the table is flooded with bowls... More
