Good Sunday lunch with welcoming staff. Best compliment I can say is the roast was like eating at home- fresh roasties, ample portions and well cooked veg. Lady behind the bar was very accommodating and seemed to genuinely care. First time here but we will...More

We visited for lunch and it was a typical old fashioned pub where the locals are friendly but do stare as you walk in and the amenities are sparse. However don't let that put you off as the food was freshly cooked and very tasty....More

Glad you enjoyed your visit. Although we are a small pub we like to think we offer a good selection off draught beers - 14 in total including 4 real ales. Thanks again. R

The "strange vibe" you refer to may attest to the fact that our Pub is 398 years old - we have cleaned it once or twice in the meantime - but 1619 was a bit before "cool vibes' were invented. If you find us "a...More

We have lived in the village for a number of years and never visited! Now we have a puppy we are limited on where we can go with her, after googling dog friendly pubs we decided we should support our local village. Lovely calm atmosphere...More

We went for lunch at the pub after reading about it on line. First thing I will say is that my child was very ill after eating the food, vomiting terribly. I wanted to order the cheese table and was told that they don't have...More
