When you walk into this pub you might wonder what you've walked into, it is a bit old fashioned. But the food is just great. Although there is a 'specials' board we eat from the printed but varied menu. Portions were very generous and well cooked, so much so that we couldn't test the desserts out. Worth seeking this pub... Nice pub with a chatty owner that really made us welcome. Good pub food, good service and a good variation in ales, ciders and wines.

Unfortunately the pie was... More

I've stayed in the B&B up the road a few times with mum when we've gone to the Hay Festival, and each time we've stopped here one night to eat. From the outside it doesn't look much, but inside... We sat by a lovely fire till the food arrived, the food has been great each time (and a good selection... More

After a road trip through Wales we stopped off just on the way back for a bite to eat. I was just looking for a pub with parking that served food and rode up to this place thinking we'd give it a go. We arrived on a busy evening but the landlord managed to fit us in and accept our... More

We returned to the Oxford Arms for Sunday lunch and once again were not disappointed. Fred keeps a good range of beers and Sadie makes the best puddings around here. There is a good choice of roasts, as well as their usual extensive menu. We had the roast beef this time, but if you cant make a decision they are... More
