A genuine Free House in an area of outstanding natural beauty. 80 Paces from the Grand Union Canal and 30 paces from Startops Reservoir. This pub has a truly unique atmosphere which has been retained during the recent refurbishment. New cellar and bar equipment are delivering an extended range of fine ales, the kitchen continues with its favourites with a focus on a wide rnge of daily homemade specials. Accommodation is available with 3 ensuite rooms.

Popped in here after a long walk along the canal, friendly staff, traditional pub, really great home cooked food at reasonable prices and dog friendly too. Highly recommended by us, the Payne family

Popped in for a drink after having a walk along canal and reservoir. Welcoming and friendly staff. Really nice atmosphere lots of character and the food looked good and very well priced. Will definatley be back for food.

Loved this local English pub! Great atmosphere and prices. We went on a Sunday and had the Sunday roast which was very good with a huge portion! Atmosphere was buzzing with locals and others.. great vibe! Dog friendly too!

This pub opens at 11 am /11.30 am daily so unfortunately not.....
