We stayed here for three nights B and B while doing a show at the Court Theatre in Tring, We'd left our booking a bit late and went on a recommendation from another pub in the area, so we knew nothing about the place before we went - and how lucky we were! This place is so friendly! From the... More

A lovely little pub with an excellent heated outdoor area! Great food and the chips are unbelievably good! They taste like the seaside but the chef won't tell me how she does it! Thursday nights are well worth coming along to as they get Nick Price in to put on an open mic night. It always a great laugh and... More

The pub is located just inside the Buckinghamshire border in stunning countryside by The Grand Union Canal. Accomodation is located upstairs in the pub and in the house behind it. My room was located in the house which was spacious, clean and had a separate large shower and bathroom. My bed was comfortable and the flat screened TV was fully... More

There was four of us today , this Public House is set in beautiful countryside quite near to the Reservoirs and the Canal, lots of wildlife and walking for anyone who likes that sort of thing.. First time we have been here for our lunch and we were not disappointed, there was a warm welcome for us which is always... More

Reasonably priced, nice garden, great location next to reservoir. Parked here then did a 4.5 mile walk. Returned for a tuna baguette, chips, wine and beer. Not fancy but perfect for what we wanted. Lady lady perfectly pleasant. Recommended.

This pub is honest and down to earth - no frills. It's a great base for walking along the Grand Union canal or taking a stroll around one of the 3 reservoirs. The food is pub grub - no pretentious dishes with fancy names, served piping hot by friendly staff and great value for money. We chose one of the... More

Stayed overnight. On the subject of breakfast I said I hadn't been expecting any - my friend had booked and I thought it was just a room. I said I was vegan and when landlady heard this, she became opinionated and outspoken - questioning why on earth I would want to do that. Her husband stepped in and reminded her... More

Perhaps not the poshest pub I've been to - and seems to be very much a "locals pub" . However I first went there about 10 years ago and still remember being amazed by a salmon dish that one of my party ordered. I am not a local but have occasionally re visited this pub - to chase the food... More
