About
We are a friendly, family owned freehouse and restaurant with 10 letting rooms on the south of the Isle of Wight. We are popular with locals, families, walkers and cyclists and anyone that enjoys fantastic views. We are near Blackgang Chine (Britains oldest theme park) and are a convenient mid-way stop for those traversing the Island either clockwise or anticlockwise. We have a large south facing garden with outdoor play equipment for the children and plenty of seating for lazy sunny days looking out across the water. If it rains we have lots of tables inside too with log fires in winter.

We were a family of 6 who visited mid week. One of our party has various food intolerances and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The pie was a ‘proper’ pie- none of this pastry in top of a dish and stuffed full. Fish...More

Had lunch in this lovely old pub/restaurant. The food was delicious and was served in generous portions. As well as a regular menu serving all the usual pub food classics they also have a daily specials menu chalked on a blackboard. This has some more...More
