We called in on Sunday for just a drink but the food looked so lovely we decided to stay. The service was excellent and we will definitely be going back. Steak and ale pie was truly amazing. Sunday roast and a ploughman's were equally good....More

Was recommended this place by our youngest daughters friend, The food look well cooked and tasted really nice. Good choice of beers and a smashing garden to sit and eat over looking Freshwater Bay and the Needles.

Popped in for dinner after a trip to The Needles. Charming, slightly quirky establishment. Helpful, friendly staff and apart from having to chase up our order which had been forgotton, excellent service all round. The food was simply amazing. It has to be right up...More

We had our evening meal here every night of our holiday; the hotel was full, unhappily for us, and we had to stay elsewhere but travelled here each evening from Freshwater knowing its reputation from previous visits and stays. Now under new ownership, and even...More

Have been to the Wight Mouse many times over the years, usually after visiting nearby Blackgang Chine with the family. We have never been disappointed. With younger children, they love the room to run around in the large, safe garden outside and as they grow...More

Description
We are a friendly, family owned freehouse and restaurant with 10 letting rooms on the south of the Isle of Wight. We are popular with locals, families, walkers and cyclists and anyone that enjoys fantastic views. We are near Blackgang Chine (Britains oldest theme park) and are a convenient mid-way stop for those traversing the Island either clockwise or anticlockwise. We have a large south facing garden with outdoor play equipment for the children and plenty of seating for lazy sunny days looking out across the water. If it rains we have lots of tables inside too with log fires in winter.
