Visit The Hut by boat 4 or 5 times a year normally dropping anchor off the beach and getting the water taxi in. Easy to book if booked ahead, I have had mostly excellent experiences here with great food, good wines and good service. Have had occasional service wobbles with "broken freezers" on a couple of occasions meaning a lack... More

I have been here for coffee, breakfast and dinner several times over the years. It has a stunning location right on the beach and great for having a beer outside as the sun dips with some cool music. However after booking an early dinner for a special occasion was left a little disappointed. I expected a table inside,I think i... More

This place is the most wonderful place especially when the sun is setting over the water. The food is really lovely. A great experience overall. Take a sweater as it can get chilly when the sun goes down!

We really enjoyed our lunch here. We were a party of 7 and had a great table on a very warm and sunny day. I had the tuna starter (absolutely de-lish, my only comment was that there needed to be more of it - 3 small, thin discs, for £8.50). The dressing it came with was fabulous, I did latterly... More

Stayed in Totland and everyone said you must go to The Hut. They were right. The food was absolutely amazing. I had Scallops, Indonesian Fish Curry and a Baileys Brûlée. My tastebuds are still thanking me for the experience. Excellent staff, chilled decor, great food. Good selection of wine. Staff are also very knowledgable and friendly. Will go back for... More

Called in for a coffee on our coastal walk between Totland and Freshwater. Friendly staff, lovely coffee and a magnificent sea view.... plus Cream, Doors, and tracks by other great bands playing in the background. We've knocked one point off for the mortal sin of running out of spoons and not seeming to be bothered about that, but all in... More

We had a fantastic lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Arriving by fast RIB out of Lymington we were met by the restaurants water taxi and taken ashore. The sea view from the table was spectacular. All the way across the Solent to the mainland and Hurst Castle. We all ordered fish. The scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious. The... More

First visited about a year ago and the service was terrible and the food extremely average for what you pay, but thought we must of just caught it on a bad day so decided to give it another try. Unfortunately nothing had changed, speaking to the staff they stressed how understaffed they are and you can be sitting for 30... More
