Very welcoming, a relaxed atmosphere and beautifully cooked meals. What more could you ask for. We will be booking again soon!

I visited this restaurant for lunch on this occasion but have been for dinner before too. We received a warm welcome and were quickly able to order some wine (a fabulous bottle of Gruner) We managed to squeeze in starters, mains and a dessert and...then needed a very long walk! We chose off both the specials and the main menu and felt both offered an excellent variety with some slightly more unusual options, I absolutely love the scallops and the slow cooked duck leg and I was very pleased to find a dessert menu that offered more than just a chocolate brownie. (My partner loved his meal too, although he opted for cheese opposed to a sweet dessert) We finished with a flat white espresso martini which was fabulous, we can't wait to come back to try the Sunday Roast and the Christmas Menu!More

Relaxing atmosphere with welcoming and accommodating staff. Very friendly and polite management and top tier dining. The menu was unique, imaginative and tasted delicious. Also the best espresso martini I’ve ever tasted. Would dine again and already looking to book for my next trip.

Absolutely fantastic food, amazing drinks (the best Espresso Martini I’ve ever had), and phenomenal service from the manager, Helen. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the tables are perfectly spaced, meaning that even though it was a busy Saturday, everybody had their own...space. We booked the lunchtime Christmas dinner, we were required to pick our menu in advance . During our entire time at the restaurant only three tables were in use, in total 8 diners in the restaurant. Unfortunately it was such a disappointing experience, we were...served burnt roast potato’s as well as burnt pigs in blankets. The ice cream had ice crystals in it. The parfait was underwhelming. To be honest no atmosphere at all for the start of their Christmas luncheons, maybe the usual chef was not on duty today.More

We have eaten here many times before and always had a good experience but unfortunately this time some of the food combinations and flavours were not to our taste. For example: cheese with the duck dish, fishcakes were unpleasant and there seemed to be unnecessary...additions to the fish dish. The soup was much too hot as it was served in stainless steel pots and could not be eaten until cold water was added. It would have been better in a proper soup dish so it could cool naturally. However, we would still recommend and eat at the Duck again as this is the 1st time we have been disappointed.More

Always a pleasure to eat at The Duck; never hurried, questions always answered, tastebuds left tingling and tummies full. Tip: vegetarian or not, I highly recommend the vegan meatballs -...wish I could cook like that!More
