My wife and I had palmed the kids of on the in-laws and were keen on a decent steak. The TripAdvisor reviews for The Alamo were very favourable so I sent them an email out of hours and woke up to a positive reply. Table was available at a time that suited us without any quibbles. On arrival we were... More

We booked this venue, as we were looking for a decent steak / BBQ style restaurant on the island. It is a small restaurant, approx 26 covers, but that, in addition to the decor and staff, equated to a lovely meal in nice surroundings. The menu is based around steaks, although there was also a pasta dish and burgers. We... More

Went to the Alamo on a Saturday night with friends. It was a lovely evening with good food and excellent, friendly service. We enjoyed a tasty cocktail followed by equally tasty wine! The onion rings were fab and my burger was in the top 2 of all time favourite burgers. The portions are generous and freshly prepared. I hope that... More

We returned to this fabulous little steak house. Where Thursday night is mixed grill night! What a wonderful meal that was. This cosy little place is just ideal for meat lovers. Staff are obliging and friendly, food is amazing. It doesn't get better than this.

Good service but food was very poor. Portions we both thought small for the price. Steaks were not as requested and seemed to small as per menu.

We've been eating at the Alamo for over 6 years now, and it's the only place the food has been consistently excellent. Great atmosphere, customer service, reasonable prices and the food is second to none. I'm at a loss to understand why you'd eat anywhere else in Ryde given the choice unless you were a vegetarian.

Food especially the steak superb, staff lovely and friendly, prices reasonable, what more can you ask from a restaurant? Can't recommend this small restaurant enough , although I think it would be sensible to book .
