I went to Island Spice whilst on the Isle of Wight for the 2013 international scooter rally weekender, past history of these events usually gives the perfect excuse for bars and restaurants to throw up prices and lower their quality but this was not the case here.. Myself and my brother ordered the mixed tandoori, chicken madras and an aloo... More

We chose this restaurant because it had a buffet for 9.95 and the menu appeared to have everything we liked. From the outside the restaurant looks clean and welcoming. We were seated and ordered drinks and a short while after ordered poppadums' which were tasty. We then waited about 15 minutes to have our order taken by an unfriendly waiter.... More

took over an hour to bring out our mains after asking if we had already eaten our starters (which we hadn't) they then didnt believe we hadn't eaten our starters?! not asked if we wanted any popadoms just straight to the starters and mains. went on wednesday buffet night and although the price for the food is good, the drinks... Then chicken naga very tasty fresh coriander and sliced garlic on top, mixed grill lovely tasty meats well cooked but juicy not dry. Chicken shaslik excellent... More

Been there four times now and three out of four we were very happy. Only complaint was on a Wednesday night when they would not let us have a nan bread and a rice dish together. Buffet menu states rice or nan per person. We were a couple so I chose rice and my wife a nan bread. I did... More

The food was tasty and the service was great. They had run out of lime pickle AND corriander though...it was Scooter week but even so, running out of a key curry ingredient! Barring that the food was still very nice, there was a good amount of it and overall it was a good meal.

We were a group of 8 (with two kids) who went to this place. Even before we were offered a table, the manager asked us if each of us would order at least one main course - I had to reply "it depends on the size of your main course and what you have on your menu" - for which... More
