This place is great to eat and drink because of the wonderful views across the Solent. As it was February and cold and damp outside we had to sit inside. The problem was that most of the large windows were steamed up. We didn’t eat...More

Great atmosphere, summer and winter. Staff are really friendly and go out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements. Excellent views of the sea while enjoying delicious food.

We have been coming to The Old Fort for over 20 years. It has always been reliable pub grub. Now in the hands of new owners. The menu is limited. We both chose the fish cakes which arrived in 5 minutes - suspicious! They were...More

Friday night is curry night. Usually 4 different curries available, buffet style. I usually hate buffets, but loved this. Lou’s Sea Bass was good, but too much butter.

Had a tour around the Isle and came across this place. Although we only stopped for tea on a chilly and wet day, the venue looked great for a revisit. Meals and drinks on offer looked great. The outlook across the Solent to a couple...More

The Old Fort had a great buzz the Friday we visited ( booking probably essential ) on a damp October evening nicely busy. Delicious fish dishes stuffed whole plaice and sea bass fillets perfectly cooked.
