Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a fabulous find this taverna is. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the service was excellent and the food varied, superbly cooked and hot. Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the possible mix of meze, dips, breads and olives. The food is very...reasonably priced and of a high standard.More

Called in for a cup of coffee while shopping. The freshly made coffee was very good and served by a friendly member of the staff. The seating inside was comfortable and there was also a very pleasant area outside. We did not eat but there...was a good choice of snacks and the cakes looked delicious.More

wanted to try this for lunch as it looked a good alternative to the usual gastro pubs. A bit disappointed. The service was slow - not hugely welcoming and were more keen to tell us to order quickly as kitchen was closing. The club sandwich...we ordered was not even remotely a club sandwich but two thick flatbreads with melted cheese and meat - more like a calzone. The meze option was not what I would expect from a greek menu - quite limited - no dolmades or properly mixed platters. I think though the food was fine, overall it was a bit average and wouldn't really recommend seeking it out. OK for a pop in place for coffee and cake but not for authentic greek food.More

I love going to Kypseli for coffee and cake as it is such a pleasant place. Lovely Greek pictures on the wall and such pretty crockery. And the coffee and cakes are delicious too - served with a smile!

Wonderful atmosphere, superb service and lovely tasty, reasonably priced food. Highly recommend. Family of 4, loads of lovely meze and when my son knocked my wine over I even got a replacement glass. How lovely is that?

We went because of the excellent Tripadvisor reviews but we had not noticed that the last review was in 2022! We thought the food was poor. The kebabs were not cooked on a grill in the traditional way - they were oily and tasted odd....The fritters, which was our second main course, was pasty and tasteless. The starters were okay. The place was nice and the service was attentive, pleasant and generally good. It was let down by the cooking.More

Were in Cranbrook today and headed for our usual coffee shop to find it has closed, managed to get a table in Kypseli. First visit but it won’t be the last, the food was amazing, soft fluffy wrap filled with chicken, tomato, onion, tzatziki and...chips and the filling went right to the bottom!! It was under £10 and delicious. A glass of Sauvignon Blanc made it into a meal! The staff were very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about their food. Will certainly visit again when in Cranbrook.More

Just had a business lunch here. The new menu is really great. Friendly service, freshly cooked - just delicious. We took a large doggy bag home - so generous are the portions. Happy Christmas and a roaring 2023 Kypseli

Popped in on the off chance that this would be a nice little lunch spot. We were not disappointed! Although on the smaller side, we were accommodated with our babies pram. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. My wife and I both had one...of the wraps with a side each. Wow!! The portion size was great and the flavours blew our minds. What a lovely place. As I say, the only limitation is the size of the restaurant itself. If you can get a table…don’t think twice. Keep up the great work!More

We wanted something easy and tasty as the family gathered for a big birthday celebration. So our meal from Kypseli was just right. From the warm breads to the savouries and gorgeous baklava...we feasted well. Thanks to the friendly front of house and the chef...and team. And almost no washing up!More

Very pleasant evening in this cosy little restaurant in Cranbrook High Street. It is quite small so can see why tied down to a slot at 6pm or 8pm. Small menu, decent selection of meze dishes and a few classic dishes. It was all quite...tasty, good service, good value, decent wines including Greek wine available by the glass. Kebabs looked small but were more than adequate and quite tasty; friends raved about their meat pasta. Just a very enjoyable evening.More
