We stayed 1 night in our Campervan at the plough and Harrow Camping facilities were fine with shower/toilet 24/7 Plenty of walks available from the site to explore the Kent countryside. The Pub was great and I was happy they they had Neck Oil available....Holly (bar manager) was very helpful and made sure our dog was catered for bringing him a bowl of water. The obvious disappointment was that they are without a Chef at the moment but we were allowed to order in a take out and the local pizza delivery was lovely .More
FANTASTIC from the moment we arrived. Fab pod, very clean with all the provisions you would need. Landlord SOOO helpful allowing us to use his washing machine! Can’t thank you enough. 🤗
We had a lovely stay in the pods at the plough & Harrow. Everything was set up on arrival very friendly staff. The pod was clean, comfortable & spacious. Unfortunately the pub wasn't serving food which was a shame as we would have eaten there, its...a lovely location very quiet & peaceful. The pub its self is really well maintained, has a nice outdoor seating area & I imagine would be lovely on a sunny day to sit & chill. We did go for little drive & found a quaint little village not to far away called Eastry which has a post office, bakery,Chinese, pharmacy etc. Thank you plough & harrow, we will definitely be back.More
This was 100% the best roast dinner myself and my partner have ever had. The staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. Lovely garden / outdoor seating area and they’re also dog friendly! Highly recommend.
Amazing sirloin roast and my daughter had a child’s pork roast best roast I’ve ever had and the drinks nice ice cold on a sunny day had the cheesecake for dessert (stunning) we eat in the garden great customer service will be back again
We had and awesome night at the Plough and Harrow on the bank holiday weekend! Music, dancing, karaoke and really fun local crowd. Chantelle was in charge and was super friendly and kind! Would highly recommend the pub to anyone.
The Sunday lunch was not good. The staff was very attentive. Beef was tough broccoli was not cooked at all .All food was piled in the middle of a black plate with a smear of of sloppy something.
Having heard this pub had reopened thought we would try it out. Food 5 ⭐️ great choice, we had the steak on the Argentinian stone which was lovely. Brilliant service levels, would definitely recommend to anyone. Lovely friendly atmosphere, we’ll be back, thank you 😊
I think this is more a holiday destination, whilst the food was delicious, there was no atmosphere despite other customers dining. Hard chairs did not encourage lingering and the loud music from the TV totally stymied conversation. It did not feel at all country pub/restaurant....Quite limited car parking too.More
Jamie was a brilliant host. We bought our caravan. Our friends had a Campervan and we got a pod for the teenagers. A relaxed venue in a great location to explore East Kent, lovely walks and pretty towns. The pub itself had an extensive well...priced menu and the food was delicious, highly recommendedMore
Thank you so much for your lovely review! Was a pleasure to have you stay with us :)
Traditional Sunday lunch was not available when we visited today, however, the lunch we had was nothing less than superb. Ed the bar person was charming engaging and helpful, as was Tom the head chef who came to our table to ensure that everything was...to our satisfaction, which it was. The only other comment I feel I should make is that I have probably today sampled the best pint of bitter I have in the last 10 years. Well done will come again,… Dr MGKMore
For our last night in England we chose the Plough and Harrow. The pub is lovely, everyone that works there very friendly. But something went terribly wrong with our order and we had to wait for 2 hours until 9.30 pm (!) before getting our...food. Which spoiled our evening completely. The 2 young lads really couldn't keep up on their own. The pitches for motorhomes / tents were very crooked and bumpy, some maintenance is required, Facilities very minimal (mobile unit) but looked clean enough. Must say dinner looked very good, tasted very good as well. Overall I found 35,- for 1 night way overpayed. If you eat at the pub I would say charge half price for the night. If you don't eat at the pub I find 25,- acceptable for the pitch and facilities.More
We stayed in one of the glamping pods for a single night. Very comfortable and clean, spacious private area behind the post itself. Definitely recommend
My wife and I had a meal here last night. The surroundings are clean, bright and the outside garden is situated in a lovely area. There are plenty of outside tables. We enjoyed good beers and keenly priced house wine. The meal was excellent. We...chose from a fresh menu which caters for all tastes. The homemade burgers were carefully presented and cooked to perfection. At the end of the evening the excellent young chef, Tom, took time to come to our table and introduce himself. He is an interesting, engaging character and was keen to seek feedback and ideas. This pub/restaurant is well worth a visit. I thoroughly recommend to anyone seeking properly cooked, fresh food served in beautifully maintained surroundings.More
