Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Little Harriettes takes you back in time. It is the perfect place for a spot of lunch and tea. The menu and cakes change often so you can get something different on each visit. All the food is delicious and handmade. Very generous portions for...the price. There is a varied list of teas which are served in traditional teapots. The whole place has a very cosy feeling with antique crockery. This is my favourite place on the Kent coast for lunch.More

Now serving Scrumptious Sunday Roasts. Choice of three meats, beef, pork & turkey. Roasted potatoes, cauliflower cheese, carrots, cabbage & swede, obviously gravy £12.95 one course, starters and dessert available too much for me! Great value for money. Hot lunch, warm spotless tea rooms. Recommend...this pleasant little place. Homemade Cakes, Scones, afternoon teas, sandwiches hot lunches all on offer weekdays except Monday & Tuesday at the moment. Christmas menu started already will try that as well. No photos too busy scoffing lolMore

Haven't been for a long time but still outstanding quality at reasonable prices. The chef Vanessa produces wonderful food and is always cheerful and a friend of ours!

Perfectly pleasant tea room. I think I was probably expecting more because of the reviews. The food was fine, rather than being fantastic.

Always wonderful! As frequent visitors here we are always greeted by such warm, welcoming and friendly staff. We booked for a family lunch, which was simply delicious, everything was freshly prepared, full of flavour and presented on beautiful bone china, the homemade pies are a...definite favourite! The menu is varied, with daily specials, all very reasonably priced. Excellent coffee, as well as a wide selection of loose leaf teas served in pretty china tea pots. We will continue to frequent this lovely restaurant when visiting Deal. We really do appreciate all the hard working and dedicated staff at Harriettes, these are challenging times for small independent businesses, they all need our support. We will be back!More

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, a group of 6 of us booked for afternoon tea. They cater for vegetarian and gluten free…. Which is useful to know. A small quaint tea room, with a couple of tables out the back. The food was lovely, and...reasonably priced.More

This was our second visit here, the first being a few years ago as we don't live in the area and always said we need to go back. Unfortunately this time albeit the food was nice but basic, it has now out-priced itself for what...it is. Such a shame but definitely won't be back.More

We popped in for a very late lunch and were pleased we did. Between us we had the cheese and bacon omelette, ham and cheese toastie, tuna melt toastie and mushroom and emmental toastie, all accompanied by lovely side salads and scrumptious homemade coleslaw. The...food was tasty and filling; much needed after a busy day! We also enjoyed some craft beer and cider and the most delicious chocolate orange marmalade cake; light as air and beautifully moist. Lovely staff and a cosy atmosphere made this a very enjoyable interlude; we’ll very definitely be back!More

On a weekend break and in the town centre we saw this tea room,I had Kent cream tea and hubby had brie and chutney sarnie, absolutely delicious, staff were friendly, I became concerned when we saw the notice 'cash only' and offered to go to...cash machine but a member of staff said we can pay by card, highly recommended.More
